Well we finally did it.. on Saturday we finally managed to put a bend in the prototype Shakespeare "Ugly Sea Beast" that I have for testing.

 

In short all I can say is what a rod :)it performed absolutely perfectly and was well christened with the 171lb Common skate that was bending it :)

 

Norm... I'll do the write up after this weekend coming.. I want a couple more opinions on it :)

I also want another 5 of them no matter what :)

:cool: Certainly looks good, I'm sure Shakespeare will be happy now you've got one, and a biggie to boot. :D

Alan .. trust me .. it bent a lot more when the skate decided she was going back to the bottom :)

:cool: Doubt it mate, they were waiting on the test results before they went into production but you're welcome to borrow the original prototype if you so wish. :D

hi davy,

 

so i should leave my pigstickers at home then this weekend??

 

ps, i was up again today with 2 other boats, we had 1 fish on each boat, 101lb for graham boat, 165lb for jason and 190lb for me

 

peter who caught the 101lb fish, this was the first fish he has ever caught!!!!
