Can you see the router interface and ping anglersnet from that one? Bad computer pings anglernet at average 135 ms with ethenet cable, does not ping wireless. Thanks for the help chaps, we will get there in the end Re cap, all other machine's in the house have excellent connectivity. It has been suggested to me if i remove the network device and then restart the computer will re-install and auto config / fix Edited November 21, 2008 by n4lly

LoonyLiam 0
N4lly, just an idea?!? ...coz you have full internet acces thru the cable, (when attched to the router) ...why not let peeps remote fix it? 3 min to fix, .....or 3 days to talk about possible solutions. ok, try a system restore to a month ago first & see if it works...bet it will Another option for peeps you trust... ....just a pointer for your mates http://www.flipping-computers.co.uk/n4lly.html after doing what it says on the tin .... ... log into hotmail with [email protected] password cavalier then when all is ok , delete "logmein" from add/remove progs from comtrol panel TTFN Liam Edited November 22, 2008 by LoonyLiam

n4lly 91
Excellent idea. Remote fix would be great, but MSN dont connect I put 192.168.2.1 in to the browser the Belkin router setup page came up and was able to login also Should there be any thing in Internet Options/Connections, this all seems to be blank. Do not know my way around Vista, all other machines are XP, otherwise i would copy their settings.....getting confused now
LoonyLiam 0
LOL, N4lly, mebbe try the link in my post....you don't need msn to work for a remote fix. ....or, in control panel, administive tools, services, set them all to automatic & reboot. That'll fix it! oh & when you're in the 192.168.2.1 thinh make a note of the encryption eg wpa-psk, tkip, & passphrase

So your network card is also working, and so is it's driver, and Vista. Now I want you to open a dos box then ping www.anglersnet.co.uk and PASTE the output here Follow the directions below In the DOS box enter 'ping www.anglersnet.co.uk > output.txt' without the quotes. This tells the OS to run the ping www.anglersnet.co.uk command , but not to put the output on the screen, redirect the output to a file named output.txt. Nothing will appear to happen on the screen. When the prompt comes back type in notepad output.txt Paste the contents of notepad in your post.
