I remember reading a newspaper article about a japanese fishing vessel being sunk by a cow that fell from a transporter plane, went straight through the hull apparently, bet they didnt see that coming!

Speaking of finding things on the shore, I've found a plastic container from which somebody's ashes had been scattered at sea (still a bit ashy)

and a discarded colostomy bag. Both unwelcome.
