Over the last few weeks, a number of articles have appeared in the press and media regarding speculation of proposed Angling Qualifications and Angling For Youth Development’s role in them.
Because of these stories, AFYD has to confirm that there is some substance to their content.
AFYD currently has two courses with the Scottish Qualification Authority for the purposes of SCQF credit and levelling. The first course is Game angling and the other Fishery Science.
These courses are entering the curriculum of some Scottish secondary school in June and September of this year, as pilots, with a view to offering them to Schools throughout Scotland from 2010.
