Lookout

Some stunning catch rates and quality of fish are being caught tight in the margins of the first shelf, or further out at the bottom of the second shelf, also on the tip to the back bank or back of the islands. Pellet- soft hooker, banded, and hair rigged, paste on its own and as a conker, maggot, caster, worm and worm cocktail, cubes or punched luncheon meat, mussel, prawns, all working on the hook. Getting the feed patterns correct is esential,  little but constant is the answer with angel 3mm feed pellets working well sprayed in over the hook to get fish on the drop, or soaked in a feeder mixed with maggot or caster and used on the tip to the far bank of the top shelf.

Bowes

Producing excellently if the feed patterns are correct, little but constant is the order as several anglers have found out who have had well in excess of 40 fish to 4lb plus in a half day session, keep feeding the swim and the fish turn up and are feeding very well. pellet soft hooker, banded, and hair rigged, paste on its own and as a conker, maggot, caster, worm and worm cocktail, cubes or punched luncheon meat, mussel, prawns, all working on the hook. Getting the feed patterns correct is esential, angel pellets  soaked in a feeder mixed with maggot or caster and used on the tip to the far bank of the top shelf, or keep feeding them in.tight in a marginal swim high up just of the first planting shelf, or go out to the bottom of the second shelf. Margaret Jones had a terriffic day fishing with her husband she took 65 fish in the day session,  best to  20lb 2oz but average fish were 4 to 6lb, Margaret fished on the pole tight in the margin of the first shelf on 10mm banded pellet, with 6mm angel pellets as feed, also at 7 metres out in front from peg 4, she caught the double on the tip to the back of the island on 10mm banded pellet and soaked angel pellets in the feeder.

Alan with Golden OrfeBassetts

This pond has produced some stunning fish this week Ide to 3lb 1oz, Rudd to 1lb 14oz, carp over 10lb, crucians taking meat to 2lb 3oz, Roach to 2lb 1oz, Tench best out 3lb 7oz a golden tench, golden orfe over 2lb, and lots gudgeon and home bred fish. Getting the tackle balanced and feed patterns is critical as water temperatures slowly start to drop. Maggot and Pellet are working best on the hook with tench taking sweetcorn and mussle. Feed angel pellets little but often to keep fish in your swim.,
