The Fishing For Everyone Ladies Fishing Club got off to a flying start this year.
Kicking off the season, the club visited The Anglers Arms in Weldon Bridge, Northumberland for their start of season club dinner. The ladies would like to thank The Anglers Arms for their hospitality and express their thanks to all of the companies and organisations who kindly donated prizes towards the raffle they held following the meal. Nearly £100 was raised and all funds will go towards the club in 2012.
On 1st April the Club joined together with the Hirst Park Trout Ticklers Ashington-based club for a friendly competition at Chatton Trout Fishery. Both clubs had a great day and Kieran Richmond claimed the Chatton Trophy with the heaviest caught fish. Joining the event was Sky Sports Tight Lines who filmed the day and the feature was shown on the Tight Lines fishing programme late last month.
As with all of the Club’s events, free coaching was provided in the morning for ladies requiring some extra help, and advice was offered throughout the day. The event ended at 4pm in the fishing lodge with tea / coffee and delicious homemade chocolate and coffee cakes kindly provided by members.
The ladies are looking forward to their next fishing event on Sunday 27th May at Langley Dam, Hexham. Any ladies or juniors interested in joining us at this event visit www.fishingforeveryone.com, email: info@fishingforeveryone.com or telephone: 07890519392.
