This week the weather has been overcast and went with one or two bright sunny spells. The wind has been swirling a lot this week and not blowing in the same direction twice. The rod average is now at 3.4 fish per angler.

On Sunday the 1st of September saw Scottish Power take to the water. They all had a good day with the rod average for the competition at 3.8. The winner on the day was Robin Davis who had 6 fish for 12lb. The heaviest fish of the competition was 2lb 5oz and was caught by Chris Smith.

The biggest fish of the week went to Mr J Gill of Neston. It weighed in at 4lb and he caught it on a Black Hopper whilst fishing the banks. Mr R Hubbard of Market Harborough and friend had a good day and went home with 12 fish between them weighing in at 24lb. The caught them all on cats whiskers off the boat. Mr N Lewis also had a good day and went home with 6 fish for 13lb. He caught them all on orange, black lures and Damsel.

The bank hotspots this week have been Nantglyn Bank, Tower Bay and between the Dam and Visitor Centre. The best method off the bank this week has been floating lines with buzzers, Nymphs and various Dries. The Boat hotspots have been Water sports Bay, Nantglyn Bank, Hafod Lom Woods and Tower Bay. The best method has been floating lines fished with Diawls, Buzzers or Dries. Also Intermediate lines have been doing well fished with various Lures or Boobies
