Eleven teams of six anglers competed for the coveted title in the 2012 Angling Trust Masters held at Leicestershire’s Mallory Park Fisheries on Saturday 11th August.
The event was well spread out over the seven Glebe pools, the Foundation Lake and Mallory Big Lake. With so many lakes that all fish differently this was going to be a real challenge to the teams taking part. It turned out to be a great day’s fishing with 22 weights over 100lbs.
In second place saw both anglers tying on 177lbs 8oz, Aaron Morton Total Fishing and Dom Lanni for Marukyu Green.
The Team event was always going to be a difficult one to call with so many big weights being caught on the day. At the end local knowledge paid off with Marukyu Red winning with 24 points. The team consisted of Chris Downs 152lbs 08oz, John Hall 60lbs 02 oz, Jamie Adcock 133lbs 06oz, Chris Allen 122lbs, Gordon Parker 136lbs and Steve Porter 99lbs 08oz.
