The Boxing Day Open Fishing Competition is on this Friday 26th December starting at 9am. Names are still being taken. Call 01324 822800. Everyone is welcome to participate – just turn up on the day. The competition is for fly and bait fishing and there is no entry free. Prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd places (heaviest bags) first Prize is £100 Cash with many other prizes for 2nd and 3rd places.
A £500 White Tagged Trout was caught by lucky angler Mr Steve Jackson (Camelon) this week. He landed the 9lb 12oz rainbow from the middle pond using a black tadpole lure for a total bag of 3 fish for 17lb. A great prize for christmas!
The Christmas Fishing Competition was won on Sunday by Mr G Lapsley (Bonnybridge). He won £100 first prize, malt whisky and a turkey! with 5 fish for 17lb 12oz.
