Wellsfield Trout Fishery
Attention all anglers!
Wellsfield Fishery will be open 7 days 8am-5pm right up till Christmas thanks to the ICE PREVENTION WAVE MACHINES for fly and bait fishing.
The Christmas Fishing Competition was held on Sunday. Winner was William Caddis (Stirling) £100 Cash, Hamper and Turkey, with 5 fish for 15lb 2oz. 2nd – J Jardine (Milton of Campsie) £30 Gift Vouchers, Hamper and Turkey, 3rd M O’Rourke (Coatbridge) £20 Gift Vouchers, Hamper and Turkey.
Another good weeks fishing at Wellsfield Fishery with many anglers bagging their limits.
All three lochans fished well this week for those fly fishing and bait fishing.

The average weight was just over 3lb 2oz per fish.
Largest fish of the week was an 11lb Rainbow Trout caught by G Hogan (Stirling). D Ferguson (Camelon) caught a 10lb rainbow trout
One Red £50 Prize Tag was caught this week by lucky angler G McMenemy (Kincardeine) whilst bait fishing.
Best flies: Ugly Bugger Lure, Mini Fritz, Blobs, Yellow Dancer, Olive Tadpole, HH Damsel, Diawl Bachs, Bloodworm, Buzzers. Best Baits: Worms, Maggots, Small Taz’s.
