The fishery fished very well this week for fly and bait anglers on all 3 lochans. All three ponds are fishing very well as the water is cooling down towards Autumn. The evening sessions are doing very well and still open till 8pm. Rainbows, Blues and Brown Trout have featured amongst many bag limits. Average weight 3lb.
Best flies: Black/Green Fritz, Orange Dancer, Hoppers, Diawl Bachs, Buzzers. Best Baits: Worms, Wasp Grubs, Maggots, Taz’s.
Fish of the Week was a 16lb 2oz rainbow trout caught by John McGill (Glasgow) on an Orange Fritz. A Savage (Moodiesburn) also caught a 16lb 8oz rainbow on a Brown Sedge. See photos below.
