Now you see me, now you don't…..

Some anglers go for the camo look because they genuinely believe that it gives them that hidden edge, whereas others will admit that it’s very much a fashion thing.

Personally, I don’t see anything wrong with any reason for buying camo kit. When all’s said and done, what one angler chooses to spend his or her money on is up to them.

And, truth be known, I’m partial to the odd bit of camo myself!

The TFG Primal Force 8 Extreme Bivvy claims that it can be erected in 15-seconds flat. Personally, I don’t think I could do anything in 15-seconds flat, so I’d much rather say that it’s a quick-erect bivvy and is a lot faster than some of the other bivvies I’ve had to put up over the years.

TFG Primal Force 8 Extreme BivvyThe aero grade aluminium poles that not only give incredible strength and durability, but also ensure that the TFG Primal Force 8 Extreme Bivvy is light and easy to transport. If you’re fishing with a bivvy, even if it’s just what carp anglers have taken to calling a “quick overnighter”, then you’ll appreciate that weight matters. Even when you’re lucky enough to unload your kit straight from a car to your swim, a heavy bivvy still has to be unpacked and put up.

TFG claim that the Primal Force 8 Extreme Bivvy has 100% waterproofing, which they must strongly believe, as it’s there in black and white of their website. This particular bivvy is twin-skinned to maximise comfort, which creates a warm, thermally insulated condensation free environment offering full protection against the worst weather imaginable.

The porch is an definite ‘must’ have feature for most on a bivvy. Ask any angler who has spent money on a bivvy without a porch and they are likely to tell you they regret it! The Primal Force 8 Extreme Bivvy won’t let you down.

Key features:
 – Erected in under 15 seconds (if you can genuinely do that, post a video of it on YouTube, send us a link and we’ll show everyone else!
 – Aerospace aluminium poles give ultimate strength. ‘Aerospace’-grade materials are particularly important when bivvying up on the moon. (You think I’m joking? I bet if I started a rumour that there was an uncaught 50lb carp in the Sea Of Tranquility on the moon, NASA would start reporting strange dome shapes appearing on it!)
 – Heavy duty 6oz denier fabric – if you want a bivvy to last, it needs to be made of good material. This one is.
 – Twin skinned to eliminate condensation – damp interiors on a bivvy aren’t good. This helps reduce the chances of waking up with a wet drip above your head.
 – Built in groundsheet for extra warmth and comfort – keeps everything nice and dry inside, and all the nasties outside!
 – 100% waterproof guaranteed – if you live in the UK, I don’t need to tell you how important that feature is!

The  Primal Force 8 Extreme Bivvy comes in one and two man versions. Unless you know that you are going to be pushed for space, go for the 2-man bivvy. That’s my advice, anyway. It’ll give you more space (obviously) and allow you to organise things better inside. At the time of writing, the  Primal Force 8 Extreme 2-Man Bivvy was only £40 more than the 1-Man version.
