Hi mate

The Tope disapeared for some time in a mad crazed sex orgy, but are back in full swing. Had a weighed 77 last Sunday.

Pollack fishing is steady away with a few doubles

this week.

The general fishing is *****. Many fish just never turned up this year.

Oh I forgot to mention. I had a great white on 12lb gear. Bugger nearly spooled me

Still hope to see down here

Hiya,

ColinK:

I first fished the pier a while ago with a lad called Davy Mcnair. I think he got the other Davy his first skate many many years ago. Anyway he has an article from an old sea angler of the two davies fishing from his boat landing skate within spitting distance of the pier I'm sure Davy will know the article.

Yup it was Davy McNair that introduced me to Lochaline, he was planning a trip up with his boat and he asked me if I would take mine.. so I did :)

My first skate was caught on the Saturday from my own boat and weighed a massive 50lb.

To give Davy his due, I don't know many people if any that have done better fishing from the West Pier.

The Article in question was in the old Boat Angler mag, when Davy hooked the fish he was around 50yrds from the pier

Davy
