So will mine but she doesnt whine about it ,both my parents and her dad died before getting any i dont hear them sniveling

We'll you wouldn't want the government to be accused of sexual inequality by carrying on giving women more favourable pension terms than men, equality should mean that good and bad.

Put it this way women generally live longer than men so see it as a gamble (who can predict who will live long enough to get it?) That you get it later but hopefully get it longer .

The old guy 2 doors away retired at 60 on a final salary scheme and hes now 96 ,his wife died at 64 so she got 4 years .

The ONLY people that lose old age pension money (against private ones) are those that paid in all their lives then die before they get it .

The idea of any pension is whoever runs it gets more in than they pay out governments included

Perhaps if people want to even out pension s to be fairer stop early retirement in certain sectors of public servants

 

The old fart next door is always whining he doesnt get anything from the government then admitted he paid the cheapest NI stamp ,you pay the full one you get more or put the difference into a private one
