  1. There's something going on ,the bus was late so waited by the barrier while the 8.25 train from London came in at Farnham station .There must have been a quarter of the numbers getting off compared to the past .Bike racks still empty so there's fewer numbers going to London as well Mandy the Jehova whitness and her friend standing at the entrance said it was very quiet compared to pre COVID
  2. I have two ,one is used for fishing and metal detecting and when I am out and about locally ,it's one of those armoured phones but it has little on it APP wise (any android phone can be exploited) the other is my 'posh' phone I have a banking APP on .I had no choice in that the local branch closed and it's far easier using the app than going to Aldershot to transfer funds and you can switch off your card if it gets pinched or cloned etc. My previous phone was a blackberry storm but bloody blackberry switched them all off ! I would still be using that the problem is "secure" phones are only secure when they are far away from google based apps . You probably didn't get spyed on with a Nokia 3310 but any phone with the slightest "smart'" is open to being spied on continually whether you like it or not I also had a "secure" phone it was so secure you couldn't install anything on it at all ,a little boring when you needed a map to find a house etc The problem is all your eggs in one basket people today live their lives on phones if it's being hacked they lose the lot ! PS I presume your posting on here with a smart device so you are being watched !forget that old phone Regarding the MP's only an idiot would use unsecure device to store secure data and the chinks would get just as much reading their self obsessed tweets anyway!
  3. All this fus over TikTok yet google is/could do the exact thing .Who knows what any APP does ,you have a choice use it along with it's T&C's (which can demand anything) or not . Google and apple are far more incidious it permeates the very phone itself and Microsoft despite you removing all the spyware reinstalls it at every update but that's ok you can trust America .......can't you As "china" produces the tech there's nothing to stop them installing spyware at the hardware level ticktok is the least of your trouble ! America is annoyed they don't produce much THEY can use to spy on everyone
  4. Too quick ,hang them on lamp posts and hand out iron bars !
  5. Spotted this on a government website concerning the differences in benefits 2023 and 2024 if it's illegal to marry two women at once who are we supporting / encouraging? "Polygamous marriage Rates 2022/23 (£) Rates 2023/24 (£) Amount for claimant and first spouse in polygamous marriage 278.70 306.85 Additional amount for additional spouse 96.10 105.80" https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/benefit-and-pension-rates-2023-to-2024/benefit-and-pension-rates-2023-to-2024
  6. Probably the china loving WHO who are increasing their powers as we type. And why ,I presume following brown envelopes as they are iin the background in most circumstances ,power and money ! Money gets you power ,power gets you money ,how many poor ex leaders are there? Whatever the reason true or fake money is being made by those in power .
  7. Perhaps temperature ? I witnessed with my own eyes phials sitting on desks ,perhaps those using the contents of the last batch were effected as the contents couldn't possibly at the required temperature waiting to be used ? I also saw on tv trays with ready filled syringes waiting to be used ,if the temperature was as hot as the large room full of people waiting I was in I guess they would warm up quickly . I think the reason is out there but not in easy sight I would hazard a guess it's probably not the vaccine but in how it was administered ,possibly in administration making short cuts trying to get needles in arms as quid as possible to hit impossible targets set by ministers not clinicians.
  8. There is talk of accidental intravenous injections doing harm as I speculated earlier . https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8436386/ I wonder what the "correction " was ,perhaps removing anything suggesting it's a danger?
  9. I would ditch it completely there's thousands of other TV channels and I haven't listed to a radio for decades. If you want the bbc get it here !cheaper than the licence fee here And WITHOUT the uk tv tax! https://www.bbcselect.com/where-to-watch/ I wonder if using a VPN gives you the excuse in court saying" just a minute the yanks don't need a licence why should I ?" (Like anyone other than in the uk with a satellite dish) If you subscribe to britbox your paying twice for the bbc I presume the bbc input is paid already by the licence fee ?
  10. Overblown yes but we still have this 'excess ' deaths thing ,if it ain't COVID something's going on and I don't think the NHS can take all the credit is there enough uncaring phillipino nurses to do it all As I speculated long ago COVID is an easy word to put on a death certificate so the numbers COVID killed inflated but people still died and two of my neighbours succumbed and rampant old person elimination by government is still second on my list so Linker could be ont o something but for the wrong reason were old people's homes and NHS wards the concentration camps of the past? People seem astonished government's lie I think half the world's deaths are down to governments lies and interference it's what they do and project fear a great manipulator of the masses ,what's next ?
  11. Just re-read the entire thread ,I think the contents and concerns were pretty accurate . However I STILL wear a mask on the bus or in shops and get as many stares as we got before everyone else started and i STILL wipe everything down with isopropyl alcohol on recieving it or taking shopping home. Technically over the top now but as I mentioned in another thread COVID is still killing people my daughter in law is arranging a funeral right now !
  12. Mystic meg ,I wonder if she predicted that?
  13. People are still not learning lessons! daughter in law's mother had a fall and was taken to hospital while her hip was replaced . EVERY visitor had to have a COVID test before they could visit ,now the old girl has COVID and the Norovirus . I can see how Norovirus may have crept in there was no checks but COVID must have been transmitted by the staff Been in a over a week now you can't be operated on whilst your losing fluids and salts crapping yourself hopefully the daughter hasn't caught COVID herself and taken it home ! Update old girl died Saturday ,went in chatting and awake ,down hill from there ! Daughter revealed mother was tested for COVID before entry, clear so only could have caught it from staff .

  15. Lost her appeal here but with our non existent border control and government funded illegal immigrant welcome all policy ,one dingy trip and she's back and no-one will want her abroad so we're stuck! I presume one visit to the ECHR and the government will cave in and she will be living in a poor pensioners gaffe while they rot in prison not being able to afford council tax or head of the list in a new build in the immigrant only estates being built! A simple sentence turn up here and you will be in solitary confinement for life should give her an option or two ,trouble is why didnt we treat the 400? or so other terrorists that came back the same way? * Perhaps an opening for a cover girl celebrity in the monthly "we won" page in the Taliban news in Iraq could be an option * Googling it's 425 almost all men !
  16. Working from home is a two edged sword ,the company save on heating whereas you have it on (luckily it's a warm winter) you save on train fares but use your electric to turn on your pc (surprisingly a 1000w psu and middle of the pile pc uses a lot of power a laptop far less!) Whether you gain is a moot point the company certainly will. My downfall would be motivation I get distracted very easily but I have never had a job where working from home is possible even my office job was only partially in an office and when I worked in a workshop in the uni half my time was fixing things other people broke and the turn round needed to be faster than what could be done using couriers both ways. If I owned a company I would never allow it people need to be pushed not left to their own agenda ,one minute not doing your job is theft IMHO As for shopping doing it online is ok but your missing the bargains ,those reduced tins of beans or near date goodies go to other people Still can't fathom how your bloods being taken without actually going out
  17. No not just here everywhere! Passed the train station yesterday at 2 pm ,generally the bike racks are full and surplus bikes chained to railings ,yesterday there were 3! Mrs had a appointment for blood test at 3.20 ,hospital empty! Doctors waiting room empty ,place where you get blood test empty! Buses generally at 4pm full there were 4 kids on bus we got back to town ! Sainsbury empty at 4.30 ! Boots queue to pharmacy at least 20 people of course only one pharmacist Never seen it so quiet! Everyone was in boots getting drugs
  18. All we have to do now is train otters to kill mink and mink kill Cray fish and the circles complete !
  19. Blimey the only people keeping the site alive are dead
  20. Reminds me of long ago on a freezing day at Cutmill Pond (strangely called the Tarn pond now) 3/4 iced over and dead baits doing nothing so i set up a float rod (an Apollo Taperflash for the old guys ) and tried to catch some tiddlers in the unfrozen area under the trees near the inlet . Surprisingly i got a bite and struck but unfortunately forgot about the trees Ofcourse the line got tangled out of reach and despite attempts to use the rod tip standing on tippy toes to untangle it i had to go for a break .Bugger just as the line broke the tip section of the rod came out (old rods had problems either ferrules were to tight and you needed a second party to get them apart or they rattled loose and turned or came loose) ofcourse the tip fell in the water despite it tangling over my head on the bank . i spent a very long time ball deep in freezing water trying to locate it . Being steel it had sunk like a stone and hidden itself in the silt .Today ofcourse you could get it with a magnet but then it was feel with your bare foot and lift everything up to see what it was ,eventually the bugger turned up but i made the excuse my sperm having frozen to death it was time to pack up and bugger off home . Still got the rod it sits in the loft with its relations (i have 3 taperflashes they are surprisingly light compared to some rods of the time) in a tall locker on its side with the shelf removed where my old rods live ,its mice resistant so hopefully all will be intact when my son bungs them in a skip after i am discovered nibbled by mice myself when i croak.
  21. Same here, as a youth i had no fear of travelling many miles to find ponds iced up and unfishable and on other times my son and i crammed into a tiny swim as it was the only one without ice on our pike fishing escapades but thats long in the past i am a fair weather fisherman now .I did my stints of madness camped out in snow storms with line frozen into ice and crystals forming as you wound in in your rod rings. As to fishing abroad i once went on a truly miserable trip to ireland ,plenty of fish but more rain and mud than a Pakistani flood zone. The thought of going further holds no attraction how on earth could you not see foreigners at least back home i can see no-one at all fishing the odd deer is about the most intrusion i need . No fear of cold or even rain the worst was packing up wet then having to unpack and dry everything on getting home ,now i can simply grab a rod a bag and landing net and some bread go and be back in a hour and sit in the warm and curse trout angling clubs and the EA for ****ing up the local river and all for free
  22. Hopefully the "rescuers " are procecuted as would anyone else be that meddled with them..Should have shot it the first day and eaten it the outcome would have been tbe same.
  23. That's what the close season used to be for . Make your floats out of season and, suck udisappointmentntment when you lost them (or they sank) IN the season lol I remember as a kid making a dozen or so out of drinking straws (following an article in a mag) I remember every one folding in half on striking
  24. It amuses me those that pay over the top for "green" energy ,how do the suppliers get their "green" energy to weave its way through all the ungreen energy to pop up in your house unsullied?
