  7. here is a copy of an email sent to the broadcasting standards commitee hi , just saw the bbc has got the rights to itv`s digital terrestial service ,i have a box but cannot recieve any digital signals (the box came with us on moving) in this area (tilford ,gu10 2ab) ,i think that if others can recieve 24+ channels FREE + bbc1 and 2 then i should only pay a 13th of the cost of the licence ,in the name of fairness,thanks dave granger we shall see what the answer is i suspect though it will fall on deaf ears anyone know the director generals e`mail address

  11. most of them seem to use outlook to activate ,i dont use it so if a virus turns up it seems confused and windows asks me where i want to "save" the file,nortons tells me the file is containing a virus ,i delete it
  12. when my mum was in the latter stages of bowel cancer she was issued with a morphine pump (a tall electronic device connected to a vein) when the pain was intolerable she could use it a set number of times a day ,it was impossible to overdose with it ,the container was tamperproof ,although pressing the button several times after the limit was reached that was it ,the women died in agony :mad: IF IT WAS POSSIBLE TO KILL BY OVERDOSE ,I WOULD HAVE CERTAINLY HAVE DONE IT and probably many others with loved ones in this state would have as well :mad: ,when they say they can provide a painless end they are lying ,she used to scream for us to end the pain ,unfortunatly we couldnt
  13. i 50% miss it ,the boat was ideal when in was moored in pompy harbour ,we spent 3 days moored at nab one trip (very long amusing story) ,we also used to tie up to the turn bouyes in cowes week (arnt sailing skippers rude) 3 or 4 years out almost every weekend (bugger the weather) never drowned once ,all went west though when harbour put up mooring fees up by 250% :mad: ,good and bad times

  16. saw a clip of the american pop idol (on us tv tonite) our mr cowell? (the one that was truthfull in the uk version) every time he said that the contestant was crap (and boy they were) p.abdul said he was being anti american and even the tub o lard co host was going to lay him out ,typical :mad: just like americans if they dont like what you say then only brutality will shut you up ,good for you limey tell the truth dont give in to the american way ,land of the free it aint oh and dont go to any afghani weddings

  19. i think there was a post on this err subject in an earlier time how do they know "who" you are when they issue the card :confused: do you have to produce your passport (i dont have one) think what you have to produce to get a passport a driving license etc :confused: or to get a driving licence do you produce a passport etc :confused: both are easily forged ,even if they fingerprint everyone in the country to put on the cards ,what proof do they have you ARE you ,lots of cases of false papers issued on stolen or dead peoples birth certificates .so what is the base line ,certainly not any papers or id we have now :mad: if smart cards are cloned now they certainly WILL be in the future [ 03 July 2002, 10:15 PM: Message edited by: chesters1 ]
