  1. Due to a forced clearout - free to a good home Pole Fishing Magazine issues Sept 2008 - December 2011. Collect only - Chatham, Kent.
  2. Many thanks to both of you - I will definately be giving them a call!
  3. Thanks for the offer but, apart from the logistics, my budget does not stretch that far.
  4. I recently broke my pole and unfortunately there are no spares available as its so old! I can't afford a new one at the moment so I am looking for a good 2nd hand pole as cheap as possible. Anything considered and can collect in the London/Home Counties area. Thanks
  5. Hi, I am interested in one only if you haven't shifted them already. Let me know and I can collect one whenever. Cheers
  6. I am really looking for a No3 and No4 section for the above pole - or any sections for that matter for spares. Anyone got one tucked up in their garage or shed? Cheers
  7. The area that you are referring to is the stretch from Teston Bridge. Last season it was £4 and £1 for parking. I haven't been there this season as I joined Tonbridge Angling and tend to fish the Hartlake stretch.
  8. I am considering cooking my own hemp and tares, no problem with that. However, for this to be worthwhile, I was wondering if they could be re-frozen over and over again. So basically, after each session, whatever is left over can go back in the freezer in readiness for my next session. I currently do this with both sweetcorn and luncheon meat but this would normally only be to a maximum of two sessions before I would need to replenish anyway. Your thoughts.......
  9. Where did you get this kit, was it 'online' as I want to elasticate mine? Thanks
  10. I was looking down from the bridge on Maiden Lane today and saw some lovely roach. Cheers
  11. Does anyone know who controls the stretch of the River Cray between Crayford town centre to where it meets the Darent? In fact, any info on this river would be welcome.
  12. I was on the Medway at Hartlake Bridge - parking was very tight (can be a nightmare apparently) but it was not busy on the banks. Fishing was poor, a few small roach, gudgeon and loads of minnows! Still, I enjoyed the day and was still glad that I booked it off.
  13. Car packed - not sure if I will make sandwiches now or first thing... I still hope to get in somewhere along the Hartlake stretch but I can't get there until about 08:00.
  14. Hi Gaz, I also have recently joined Tonbridge Angling Club. I have booked a day off work on the 16th and intend to fish the stretch at Hartlake Bridge. If the weather is rubbish I will try Ballast - any tips? Mick
  15. I prefer rivers to be honest - I've booked a days holiday for the 16th and I will be somewhere along the Hartlake stretch.
  16. Cheers for the info - I was going to fish Barden tomorrow so I'm off to fish Haysden instead!
  17. Yep - I think you are spot on. Thanks for the feedback.
  18. Many thanks for all the info - greatly appreciated.
  19. In days of old it was just one land mass.... and then bits broke off!
  20. Does anyone know if this fishery would be ideal for a beginner?
  21. Got to be chub as it was the first 'big' fish that I caught and I will always remember it - twas on the river Eden and was approx 4lb. I was about 13/14 years old and it was at about 4.00am after my first all night fishing session. If my memory serves me correctly it was on a stretch near Penshurst and my bait was a lump of cheese direct to hook (no hair rigs in those days). Can't wait for the 16th - booked a days holiday from work so that I can be there! Mick
  22. I cannot access the Tonbridge Angling website ( http://www.tonbridge-angling.co.uk ). I normally use IE7.* and I have tried Firefox and Opera just in case it was an MS problem but to no avail... Anyone else having problems and/or knows the reason? Thanks Mick

    Hello!

Hi all, I have recently returned to fishing (last August) after an absence of about 30 years. I have fished some local commercials and some day ticket stretches of the Medway over the last 8/9months and re-built my confidence and knowledge along the way. I have joined a local club and am now looking forward to the 16th June so that I can get back onto the rivers! Mick
