    Advice needed

I am after a compact to take on holiday as my Fuji s7000 is just too big. It must be at least 6mp and as small as possible and under £100. Any ideas? Thanks
  2. Sorry to hear of your loss. I truly know how you feel as I lost my German Shephard a month ago and it really got to me, he was a dear friend. I miss him dearly, and the house seems so deserted without him around. I still find myself looking under the stairs expecting to see him lying there.
  3. Phil, after seeing your Grey's last season on the Avon, I bought the 9ft version at a show last autumn and payed only £49 after some blagging. I intend on using it on the Teme next summer as I wanted a smaller rod for the some of the awkward swims that are abound on there.
  4. I would only be able to attend if it was one sitting as the long drive down would not warrant 1 days fishing. I missed last year but would love to be able to fish there again.
  5. As nobody has answered your question on the tariff. You will be able to use your minutes at anytime to call any mobile or landline. I see this is an 18 month contract, I would shop about and see if you can get a 12 month one. Vodafone offered me a great deal not long back, which o2 matched to keep me. Also remember that you are able to upgrade or cancel your contract a month before your contract finshes so effectivly you are entering an 11 or 17 month contract. I always upgrade a month before and look for better deals than I am on, which I have always had matched or bettered.
  6. The points is the big thing here, but I honestly think it should have been 6 points. Then if you get caught and don't learn from it, you lose you licence.
  7. Take a look here http://www.steves-digicams.com/2003_reviews/fuji_s3000.html
  8. Chris, I was tempted to have an isoblob fitted to my i-power when Bob was building it, decided against it, as I thought it just looked out of place.
  9. Found the link http://p081.ezboard.com/fbarbelfishingworl...ic&index=14
  10. I use the Enterprise adaptors, but tangles do still occur. The best way is to use Isotopes and attatch them with some shrink tube. The only problem with this is, is that you will need to remove the end eye to do this and then replace it. This is not as hard as it sounds and if I can find the link to the method of doing it I will post it for you.

    Thanks, Seph

Glad it was another successful fish-in on a wondefull fishery and I hope everybody enjoyed themselves and caught a few fish, I know I did. Well, I had a few Grayling and nothing else which is rather unusual, as it stuffed with Trout. My best going went 2.09 and had another 2 over the magical 2lb barrier. I found quite a nice swim that contained a few fish and thought that the feeder might produce more fish, so off I trotted to get the feeder rod from the car that was only 20 yards away. When I turned around somebody had started fishing my swim from the other bank, naughty, but justice was served when they fell in Mr Burges did you get very wet? Thanks to Tony and Sue for the mulled wine at the end of the day. Had a very entertaining and enjoyable night in the curry house, with some great food and fatanstic stories, so thanks to Malc, Leon, Tony, Sue and Dunc. Dunc you are very funny indeed and it was great listening to you. Hope you found your way to where you were going on Sunday and Vauxhall want their balloon back I will try and get some pictures up soon.
  14. I have dealt with them plenty of times and they are genuine. They are based up north somewhere.
  15. Right then, river is only slightly up but dropping, so should be spot on for tomorrow, barring no rain overnight. The downside is, there is still quite a bit of colour in it. The track is open, but be very carefull as it is very wet and does have a few very big pot holes in it. Please take your time driving up and down on it. See you all tomorrow.
  16. I can't wait, just off out now to get some bait. I will ring the Bailiff a little later when I return home for an upto date report on the river.

    The Itchen

Pete, Cheers for that, much appreciated. Dreaded colour for Grayling, not good!!!!
  18. Matt, A full list, with a couple of exceptions can be found on the origanal thread, post 29 at http://www.anglersnet.co.uk/forums/index.p...70005&st=20 For bait you will need maggot for definate, reds and whites, you could also take some corn, worm and bread if you like. Float wise, take some stick floats of about 4/5bb at least as the water is quite quick in places on the Itchen. I use Avon's of about 4/5aa or Chubbers of 3swan+ P.m if you need to know anything else
  19. look here for some knots, the knotless knot is there amongst them http://www.fishingmagic.com/news/article/m...AN/2176/v/3/sp/
  20. Take a look here, they do all sizes and diffrent makes. I personally use the drennan ones, you get 2 for about £8. http://www.specialist-tackle.co.uk/shop.ph...phrase=isotopes
  21. I use a hook tyer for small spade end hooks, as it is so much easier. I just take my time and try and be as carefull as possible. If I think it does not look right or am in any doubt, then I tie it again. As for the picture of the hook and knot, just use the no knot for eyed hooks, so easy.
