  1. Hi Folks haven't been on here for a while, wow well done Elton, what a superb site this is now, I`ve been getting your E-mail posts and today I thought right lets see, refreshed new look, plenty of topics and features and by the look of things its heading to be a number one site, for those who have not heard of me, my speciality is angling with "Telescopics", so any time I can advice feel free to ask me, since I was last on here my Wifes Illness is now getting much worse, im now caring for her, I get out when I can to fish, over the last eighteen months I`ve added another brace of big Uk Carp to my tally inc a previously unknown 53lber from a private water that has not been fished in over twenty years that I am most fortunate to explore, the others were a nice 26lb Common and 39lb Common , the waters also holds enormous tench and roach and I will keep all informed as we progress, tackle wise my last purchase from Ebay got me a trio set of 2.75lb 11ft DAM Sumo teles and boy am I chuffed with these beauties which I`ve married to 5000T Emblems and 15lb Berkeley Carp XT which is a proper good line, first trip out with em was to Orchard Lakes Kent and I bagged a nice 30lb albino moggie, as for this year I will be using a new pair of Browning Teles coupled with a 8wt 10ft fly rod so things could get interesting, hokay that's me for now folks, my best wishes and tight lines to all
  2. hiya ken-l telefisher here last year i picked up two shelters from aldi with zip up fronts fiver each
  3. hiya folks telefisher here, i am treating myself to a new pair of reels this week, i like the shimanos but i already have trio of gte5000`s which are great, but i am going for a pair of Linear TS`s is there much difference between the 5000 and 5500`s ?, either way they are the db`s for me, have noticed some real enticing price deals around upon both marques,
  4. Hiya budgie telefisher responding, i use Fox Micron plus from 13 to 8lb, and you get a free lighter strain with each, around six quid each, never let me down in the eight plus years use, the only other i like and is reliable is the one shot krystonite spools (150yds or so), i usually have three or few in my armoury !
  5. "Telefisher here", i can understand the sentiments on all sides, but on the odd occassion i can snatch a 24hr session, i stick out a rod aimed at carp just for the hell of i, and a float in the margin, but as night falls and every one has gone "pussy bo-bo`s, its then all rods are stashed and i just sit back under stars simply watching and waiting for the first light of dawn, pure unadulterated bliss, i am not a fan of Commercials, i just love me fishing but i do agree with tackle being used thats just totally unnecassary for the job in hand, sadly though this is the mind set we`ve attained these days, when i have time i do teach angling, but when you get faced with a "University Rocket scientist" bouncing on in your face about the latest "withypoolnailerzigdelkimnshimano" its here mate in this mag attitude, all i can say is, "Where the heck, have we gone wrong?, hokay i have 3lb ers and big pits, likewise i have 2 and 2.5lb ers, but i just love my 5 metre bolo, seeing that float dip says it all, i dont care whats on the as long as i bank it and return it safe, minnow or monster, there aint no difference, a fish is priceless moment, same as having a totally blank day !
  6. "hiya" "Telefisher here responding, i just love the 9 -10 Storage System with F & I Location and Retrieval System,p i just love it ! it works just fine for me, yep i love it to bits !
  7. Hiya emma two, "Telefisher" here, thankyou, yep i haul both "old lady", her bits and mine no problem, hers as you is mobility bad but its her struggling to grip, i have an idea which i think will benefit many, at the mo i`m nosing, looks as if i am onto something, cos so far over three months trawling has shown nothing as to what i have in mind, must look a bit more to be sure but i am gonna put me "spanner" head into gear with a raid ot two on a couple of workshops, if it works out then its the legalities/design side to tie up, research at this stage is vital as you will appreciatte, but hey- looks like i now have two "guinie pigs" for future trials, hate being rude but are there times that you, as my "midnight" has to use a wheelchair ?, be interested to know, many thanks and best wishes girl,
  8. Hiya Chris, cheers i will check that out later, "Telefisher"
  9. hiya folks "Telefisher here" making an enquiry, firstly i explain, now for several years my good lady has enjoyed getting out and about, but with her increasing illness, and now being reg disabled, on one hand as "Bikers" we always have a laugh in the face of adversity, but lately im getting pretty growly at seeing how down she gets, now we love being out fishing together, as much as we laugh we know that like my giving up me bikes so she aint at risk, fishing is the one thing i dont want to see her miss out so now i am seriously now looking into trying to help not just her but many others similar, i have a seed of an idea, but what i need to know is "Just what items are there kit wise and tackle wise to really help folk ? with or facing generative disability, i am looking to get a general idea of stuff other than Rods & Reels, before i begin putting together what i have in mind !, working with/for folk with major barriers in lifei s something not alien to me, but i do believe i am seeing something lacking, and mayhaps i could have a go helping, after all fishing is for all to enjoy and like riding bikes i dont believe there should be obstacles in the way, i would greatly greatly appreciatte all views/comments, cheers
  10. had to cut and run again, the joys of caring for ones partner, following on form "nice fish girl", my missus has over the last five years become a goodely companion and her best todate was a cracking ten pounder, it really is summat else to see the pride and joy of someone achieving a personal best, but if she keeps on treebranchesi might just lreave her in the carpark a bit longer !, pheremones ? hmmm nope i reckon some days we chaps just have to let the girls have their moment, then we might get some peace and quiet to do whatwe do best, "Fishing".... oooh ouch i can feel the incoming,
  11. "Telefisher" replying on this subject, my missus has recently been registered disabled, now she has awheelchair ilove taking her fishing with me, now i can leave her sat in the carpark whilst her wheelchair is purloined to carry my tackle to chosen swim !, dowside though is you get nicely set up, rods out and you pour a nice cuppa, there be that nagging question of "oh wot have i forgot ? hmmm", an irratating distant squeak soon reminds one, oops the missus is sat in the carpark !, you cant win em all love !, hey nice fish girl by the way !
  12. hiya budgie, "Telefisher" here aka "Rev" upto 18 months ago yep !, come off the road as the missus is quite ill, thats one clue bro as to handle!,
  13. sorry had to cut and dash, i was going to end my reply by saying i`ve often found smaller pools hold the biggest suprises for 2lb plus stripes especially if as yours there is a good amount of food, as i say sometimes the best way of finding out is catch em first !, "rev"
