  1. Impressed. Liked the Goldfinches, I'll wager they look impressive hanging in their new home.
  2. It'd be funny if I didn't have a 14 week old Daughter.........!!
  3. Light that blue touchpaper Chesters....
  4. I only got 8....and I haven't had a drink yet.
  5. quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Originally posted by bitsbobs: Almost every other day now, I see a car with blue led's on their water jets. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Language help here please. water jets?? They squirt water onto your car windscreen (windshield?) prior to operating your wipers....I confused myself there..
  6. Are some of the people who bid for tackle on Ebay for real or do they just not pay up? e.g. a Youngs Purist II went for £256 the other day.....mad....There's a Bob James Aerial which I wouldn't be suprised if it also goes for more than the list price on at the moment. Similarly, looking at how much the Passion for Angling vids go for makes me wonder if I could retire from the funds gained from flogging my signed set......!!
  7. Accidentaly ran over mine once when I hadn't realised I'd dropped it onto the curb. An amazingly gratifying experience. The Ba*tards at work gave me another one though.....
  8. In Bradford they're usually found on Japanese cars with blacked out windows..........Like you say, why?

Is it the magic ingrediant to a fly and worth the money..?? I must admit it seems to work but I cannot justify the cost of a cape. I dislike the substitutes BTW....they don't feel right to me.
  10. Try injecting the aforementioned attractant oils into the deadbaits prior to freezing.
  11. See Pamela Andersons new video here..... Pammies New Video
  12. Gruff......that sums Dave up perfectly... As for Raygill at Lothersdale, you don't need to be able to cast to catch big fish there. The last time I went there (we're talking probably two years or so now) I saw someone rise a fish with a fag butt hooked onto his fly....honestly. Kind of put me off the place.
  13. Phil, It wasn't me who was enquiring about lessons (although I could most certainly do with some). You raise an interesting point though. You must be talking about Geoff Trigg at GeeTee's. I didn't know he actually gave casting lessons, I'll have to have a word. He once threatened to take me out for a days fishing on one of the Bradford Waltonians waters...perhaps I should point that out again to him....!! Bradford, his (shop) telephone number is (01535) 655555. Might be worth a shot.
  14. And I can't get rid of my Team and Top Box......Dividers included.
  15. She married and had 13 children. Her husband died. She married again and had 7 more children. Again, her husband died. But, she remarried and this time had 5 more children. Alas, she finally died. Standing before her coffin, the preacher prayed for her. He thanked The Lord for this very loving woman and said, "Lord, they're finally together." One mourner leaned over and quietly asked her friend, "Do you think he means her first, second or third husband?" The friend replied, "I think he means her legs."
  16. Rings true at Telewest.....
  17. I believe though that John Gilpin works Saturday mornings at Lathkills in Halifax.
  18. quote: but all pike are the same to me. All long with a face that looks like saintan himself! Perhaps if Pike fishermen gave them all stupid names then, subsequently, each time we caught the tame and starving fish we might get to recognise the individuals.....
  19. Chris, PM sent with my mailing address also. Cheers
  20. Well done Paul....just goes to show that spending all that money on that designer camo gear catches you all the fish.......
  21. A wild Brownie from a remote Lakeland Tarn that I had to hike to. I meant to do just that this season just ended but never got around to it....How did my Missus manage to convince me that having another Sprog was a good idea..
  22. I have one of these reels and a joy to use it is too. I would be interested to know it's approximate time of manufacture. I believe it is a 60's model but what are the differences between these and earlier reels? There is a pattern number on the reel but I've forgotten to bring the number in to work where I'm mailing from. Thanks
