Anyone fancy a quick game of Bimbos and Mechanics? It's like this: Monday night was frosty. I got up on Tuesday and went out to de-ice my car, (ancient Escort Estate), it started first time. I left it running for about ten minutes but a neighbour offered to do the school run so I switched off my engine. At 3p.m. it refused to start and it still wont. Yes, there is petrol in it. The battery isn't flat, it's turning over but won't fire up. I've WD40'd everything. The leads are on properly. Any ideas, pleeeeease. :confused: :confused:

Sorry! I have an excellent herbalist close by, but I gather a lot of my own herbs when they're in season, make up and store some medicines and nry the remaining herbs for future use. If you can get hold of the herbs it is an effective remedy,forgot to say that if the cough becomes infected try adding a crushed clove of garlic and half an ounce of thyme. Yum! Hope you all feel better soon.

This cough seems to have gripped everyone this year. I make the following remedy which works well for my family. It tastes absolutely disgusting, that's how you know it's good for you! 1oz (28g) dried dark purple marshmallow flowers. " " hyssop. " " Horehound. Pour 3pts boiling water over the herbs and allow to infuse for 1hr. Strain and bottle. Take a wine glass full 3 x a day. Don't knock it til you've tried it! Hope you feel better soon.

This is a really interesting topic. Hope I'm not out of order here, but I'd like to ask about how horses see colour because I was told they only see shades of grey. If that is the case why did a horse I used to ride always refuse to jump red/white poles. He was fine with yellow/white. He also used to spook at red cars. If it's not o.k. to mention horses on this site just say the word!
