Argyll I did read your hands free post and it did not go over my head. You claim that when you are talking on the mobile phone and driving at the same time your concentration on driving is totally unimpaired. As Leon has already posted this is not borne out by independent scientific research. Now I am not big on governments banning things, but I would ban mobile phones of any description in a car.

Why should 4x4 be banned? Why should left hand drives be banned? Obviously argyll is one of those who wants to make criminals of those of us who are currently law abiding citizens.

I sent some floppy disks from Southampton to my brother-in-law in Glasgow. The floppies were posted at about 16:00, Recorded Delivery and my brother-in-law got the box of floppies first thing next morning.

Typical innit. Everybody and his mate has seen one, but not me . The next time one of you see one, pluck up some bottle and go and have a close look at it, get a photograph or some other kind of proof. They won't bite. I have it on good authority that big cats seldom view humans as prey.

I am with Leon all the way on this. I have two mobile phones, personal and a work phone. Personal phone gets ignored in car and works phone is hands free. I hate having the hands free phone in the car. Parallels with airline pilots are invalid. As Leon has said, our skys are empty compared to the roads. Also pilots don't get rung up every five minutes by some git in the office wanting to know when you are going to get there or why you are not yet there.

Lots of people have seen them, from John 'o Groats, to Penzance. Nobody that I am aware of has managed to take a decent photo of one or has managed to put a bullet into one of them. Like Jeepster says, with broadband you should be safe, but maybe not if you still have a modem connected to your PC.
