  1. You mean you hope that they are all Swiss
  2. Well that bit I can believe. Even in France I have had peculiar looks when I have admitted to actually targetting mullet. A lot of bailiffs in Scotland would treat course anglers in a similar fashion for the same reason. Don't forget though that water bailiffs in Scotland have full powers of enforcement, entry, search and arrest, just like a policeman. [ 16. June 2004, 12:05 PM: Message edited by: corydoras ]
  3. Newt That is about it. Corydoras
  4. So how far on a broken old besom?
  5. It may be sticklebacks I was thinking about too, but hey try it, it cannot do any harm and it may even work.
  6. So what you are saying is that if I am fishing from the shore then I should have a rod licence with me anyway just in case a EA bailiff comes along and claims that my peeler crabs are salmon bait? Why do English anglers put up with this cr@p. We don't have rod licences in Scotland, nobody misses them. [ 15. June 2004, 03:28 PM: Message edited by: corydoras ]
  7. Not true. What you want to ask for is a 'wires only' connection. there are loads of ISP's who will give you a wires only connection. All you buy from them is the ADSL. You need a BT line for most of them and you supply your own ADSL router. Attach the routeer to your PC by sticking an ethernet card into the PC and running a bit of CAT5 cable between the PC and the router. A piece of the proverbial, and usually cheaper than the Useless Serial Bus route. [ 15. June 2004, 01:39 PM: Message edited by: corydoras ]
  8. I have probably posted this before but my grandfather, who was a keen shooter and game fisherman thought that the English practice of catching inedible fish 'just for fun' was beyond the pale.
  9. None of this new fangled cane, greenheart is what you want.
  10. This is just daft. Can someone elucidate for me which coarse species one might encounter 6 miles out at sea?
  11. Andy This might be an 'auld wives tale', I have never tried it but minnows are supposed to be drawn to something red. Try putting a wee bit of red rag in the jar as 'bait'.
  12. Hi Nugg, I thought it was more like 70 miles?
  13. I thought we were talking football players, not failed p0rn stars
  14. Just as well we can smile, huh!. The weather looks good out. Why don't we all go for a dangle?
  15. There lies the difference between us. Being sh!te and knowing it and being sh!te and thinking your good [ 14. June 2004, 02:18 PM: Message edited by: corydoras ]
  16. Sorry my friend but that sounds more like thishfull winking rather thaan soothsaying [ 14. June 2004, 01:30 PM: Message edited by: corydoras ]
  17. I thought I saw Beckam holding his head in his hands somwhere or another. 'Bad luck' had nothing to do with, IMO it looked more like pure panic.
  18. I don't know about that. Bound to be a few muppets though
  19. These little nematodes can cause a disease in man called Anisakiasis. Not often fatal, but rather unpleasant. I am not going to post any links, I am sure you all know how to use Google by now. Don't eat raw cod. (IMHO eating any raw fish is a tad risky) [ 14. June 2004, 01:18 PM: Message edited by: corydoras ]
