  1. Shame that by the time I'd got the camera out a breeze had picked up
  2. Should be there on thursday, hopefully pool 3 with a 25 feeder chuck to some reeds and probably a medium pole swim. Anyone been lately, any bait tips?
  3. Tuna tin, drill, long pin and some imagination. Or you could just buy one.
  4. My daughter fell in at Cudmore.
  5. I took my 3 year old out a few times last month, as long as there is food and drink he's happy outdoors. That said he didn't hold the rod, he reeled in a few times and 'helped' with the catty.
  6. B&E I'd say 5 B&E with obvious intent to cause serious damage, at leat 15. If the chapter had run in to fatalities, life, meaning life. it would be obvious that the scum had entered with a weapon and had the mind to use it.
  7. Well about 10 - 12lbs of roach on maggot followed by caster, started off about 6' deep finishing about 3' with the fish hammering the bait before the float had settled. The only annoying thing was the pillocks asking me "are there any fish in there"? WTF do you think I'm sat here for?
  8. You'd be better off in a local tackle shop, that way the guy serving you should ( a good one will anyway) explain what he's selling you. Fair enough you may pay an extra tenner all in all but the stuff you walk out with will last a while and out perform the catalogue rubbish.
  9. There goes nothing. Might change or add some at a later date but it kicks things off.
  10. Title:- Leap of faith. Date:- 23-07-2006. Camera used:- Canon IXUS 65. Photographer:- Me.
  11. As a mountain biker I just thoght I'd let you know that most of the trails ridden in enclosed forests are built by and maintained by bikers. A lot of time and effort goes in to sustainable trails that will last. http://www.chasetrails.co.uk Admittedly, not all trails are looked after this way and there are several 'pay to ride' trails around the UK as well as sponsored ones. http://www.forestry.gov.uk/website/ourwood...rCentreKarrimor With regard to the rod licence, I do not object to paying £25 a year.
  12. as I've never entered therse, where does one post an image?
  13. The weather is set to continue, sounds like a wag and mag evening on Hollingworth Lake tomorrow then.

    Hair length?

I tend to leave a distance between the bend of the hook and the bait the same as the size of bait. Its worked well so far.
  15. "Senior police are believed to have discovered the nature of the officer's second job in the past month. " I bet they did.
  16. A new priest at his first mass was so nervous he could hardly speak. After mass he asked the monsignor how he had done. The monsignor replied, “ When I am worried about getting nervous On the pulpit, I put a glass of vodka next to the water glass. If I start to get nervous, I take a sip.” So next Sunday he took the monsignor’s advice. At the beginning of the sermon, he got nervous and took a drink. He proceeded to talk up a storm. Upon his return to his office after the mass, he found the following note on the door: 1) Sip the vodka, don’t gulp. 2) There are 10 commandments, not 12. 3) There are 12 disciples, not 10. 4) Jesus was consecrated, not constipated. 5) Jacob wagered his donkey, he did not bet his * * * *. 6) We do not refer to Jesus Christ as the late J.C. 7) The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are not referred to as Daddy, Junior and the spook. Cool David slew Goliath, he did not kick the * * * * out of him. 9) When David was hit by a rock and was knocked off his donkey, don’t say he was stoned off his * * * *. 10) We do not refer to the cross as the “Big T.” 11) When Jesus broke the bread at the last supper he said, “take this and eat it for it is my body.” He did not say “ Eat me” . 12) The Virgin Mary is not called “ Mary with the Cherry,. 13) The recommended grace before a meal is not: Rub-A-Dub-Dub thanks for the grub, Yeah God. 14) Next Sunday there will be a taffy pulling contest at ST.Peter’s not a peter pulling contest at St. Taffy’s.

    macrel fishing

It seems I'll be in Porthmadog on wednesday, does anyone know if there are any decent spots one could wet a line there? If I find a pier to fish off will I need a permit or anything?
  19. Well it looks fairly shallow close in so I'd have a feeder out the other side. Maybe fish mid river with a large bait in the heat looking for a fish in well oxygenated water.
  20. Perhaps they've been imported. ......From France.
  21. I've been off work for about 7 weeks after an appendix opp and a few days looked after the little feller, he's 3. We've been fishing twice and are going again this evening. As long as he's outside with food to nibble on he's happy. He doesn't even mind the maggots. And its a free pass for me to go fishing too.
  22. You'd crap yourself if someone pulled you in the air via a hook in your cheek.
  23. I take my box to be comfortable, the side platform keeps bits tidy. Net bag contains bait, pole rollers and groundbait. Rod bag, apart from the obvious holds net handle, bank sticks and brolly. If I'm planning a full day I take everything to cater for most evenualitites. The opposite - I'm taking my son on a local pond tonight so will pack one rod/reel, one bankstick and rest a net and handle and a groundbait mixing bowl with bits and bobs.
  24. I've just got back from Lake Como, Italy where I took basic tackle for the harbour. Unfortunatly there is no fishing alowed from 15th May - 15th September. To say I was miffed was an understatement.
  25. Any tips as I might be able to wangle a site survey in north wales and go for a few fish. When is the season. Where do I go for them. tackle? Thanks guys.
