Ok then. Why are our troops still over there, we have gotten rid of Saddam. Why aren't we invading every country that allows the killing of innocents on a similar scale to Saddam? Is the world a safer place now that we have taken Saddam out of Iraq? There is a lot more to it than getting rid of a nasty man that killed lots of people and we will probably never know the truth behind this war. I don't really care who gets into power but I would feel a lot better if Tony wasn't in charge. As for the angling charter, if it was drafted in 1997 as some are claiming, why has it taken 8 years to come to light. just in time for an election.

Peter You could also count how many have been killed by starting an illegal war. The torys worked for the benefit of the people that voted them in ie the bosses and the well off. The labour party worked for the man in the street, the working man. Who do nu labour work for? Under Tony we have lost more of our rights to europe, we have stupid human rights laws that give more rights to criminals than victims. We no longer have capital punishment in schools and the kids can do what they like because they know they cannot be punished. If an adult or god forbid a teacher actually does something or threatens to do something to one of these kids the police are there. But hey, nu labour have an mp that supports angling so lets all vote for them.

We had a couple of coots that would dive down on the carp baits and pick them up, realise they were attached to something and let them go. One would sit and watch while the other did this then they would swap. Really funny to watch but not much fun when you are on the receiving end at first light.

Yes the same travelling people come to Yarm every year, they still ride the horses up the road to announce the start of the fair. It is mostly a funfair now but the horses and caravans still come. The skin yard closed years ago.

Sorry Leon but it is just talk as yet. The Minister supports angler’s plans for ‘more and bigger’ bass and instructed DEFRA staff to prepare draft legislation for the incoming administration following the general election. The incoming administration being the key phrase. If Labour get back will they implement this ligislation straight away or will it be put on the to do list before the next election. If Labour don't get in will it be looked at by whoever does? I hope that whoever gets in does go along with any proposed changes recommended.
