fish maggots about 6in to 12in under the surface and keep feeding very often ive had 150lb+ in weight this way biggest is 17lb like this so far

most of u must have heard carp in the margins or lilly pads slurrping at food on the surface and its quite loud.wot other fish do this as i fish a lake and a few times now ive heard slurrping coming from some lillypads but i cant see there as theres a tree in the way.im asking this as theres no carp in the lake that i know of.

for me its the best time to fish and genarlly its the best time for tench as well.(but not always the case). but yep i get up early

ok so now im gonna elasticate my top 3 with 18 elastic and use 10lb line will this sort my problem out?

ive used it for awhile now and had no snaps with it the hooklink snaps b4 the line maybe u should learn how to play a fish (just kidding) but nope i think its fine

my best so far are 13+1/2lb carp (10 over 10lb) 4lb 8oz tench,26 perch over a 1lb biggest 2lb 3oz. thats it so far. best day i had was when i caught 5 carp over 10lb including the 13+1/2 and 26 between 4lb + 10lb 3 tench and 1 crucain all on paste.and all in the margins [ 02. i would but have u treid using paste with a rod and reel. its a nightmare. i have no problem catching low doubles and less but its the bigger 1's and i have at least 3 a session that take my elastic away and snap me. i can catch 150lb plus easy its just the problem with the bigger carp

i point the pole towards the fish and put it under water. im useing FOX match no.16(2mm dia.)self lubricating elastic. i have only my top 2 elasticated .wot about having top 3 elasticated?

ok i use a pole and where i fish its not uncomman to catch carp to 15lb+ but im having some problems hooking them is fine but they shoot off and strech my 16 elastic to its limit and snap my 8lb line this happens 8 out of 10 times when i hook a large fish. wot i want to know would going up to 18 or 20 elastic sort this problem out as im sure it cant be good for them to go round with rigs in their mouth. any suggestions would be great.

the carp have started spawning and i was wondering how long they spawn for?

ive now been soaking hemp for 30 hours and ive just looked at it most of it has splitt and the waters bubbling is this supposed to happen when preparing hemp and do i still need to boil it?

ive just bought 20kg of hemp if i prepare some then have some left over after fishing can i freeze it untill the next session?

i use the 1,s from argos had them 3 years and still going strong

properly the best thing in the world even when the weathers terrable its still great

i camp and fish on the pembrokeshire coast path, and fish for carp in a bivvie u cant beat any of them its great wish i could do it perminatly but that thing called work comes in the way

the best fight i ever had was from a 5lb+ tench,it just would nt give up. but lb for lb its the perch for me
