  6. no probs mate, thanks for the new number!it is very intresting, especially on venues with a lot of natrual food..im quite keen to try it on the bream in my local ressie.i might have to give him a call.lets us know if you do use it and to what effect.(if ya dont mind spilling the beans!)
  7. john mate get in and have look, see anglers mail,mr ian welch does it, also looks at the gravel to see wich runs are packed with caddis, larvea, grubs etc as not all are...get a face mask and old landing net pole and as liam said find them depressions and holes.as to the bait dropper incident,i've had good chub swimming round the dropper as its unloaded, how they never spooked of it i will never know.if it was a pike ai think you would have seen more of it as it s warm, they are very active and dont normally miss!
  8. did ya speak to them fela?or find a website??
  9. curse of the carp...they've all said it tyke, you cant get bored of fishing mate.theres to many diffrent aspects,i started fishing agian last june after a 3 year break,at first it was down the day ticket carp lakes, wich i was happy to do then the curse struck..it hit me...theres more to fishing than catching the same species over and over,on a 2 acre pressure cooker with matey flinging his 4oz lead past ya ear!YES! i went back to the river, started fishing again was the best thing i done chilled me out alot(i'm what they call "hyperactive")and so far ive done 5 new pbs, thats what keeps me going targets bored with one moved to the other etc.trust me tyke i nearly gave up last winter piking i didnt have a run for nearly two months!!then bang out the blue a take,i strike and a bloody good fight later a 20+ esox for me,god i live for these moments, never give up,for the weekend is but a few days away and you never know what swims around the corner.....
  10. steve! i found the mag, hers a contact number for jason c 01302-561785 thers several mixes of pellets and bag mixes in 3kilo buckets, give him a ring!!!
  11. steve, coarse fisherman magazine june issue its in a carp piece but i've also seen it in i.p.y.c.f. june issue too a review,i do have this copy but cant find it at the mo,im off to work in 20 mins! it is called sticky bitas made by jason callaghan, bloodworm extract pellets, bloodworm and daphinia extract(an oily type stuff syringe it into pva web style bags) all difrent ones mate, try looking round or ring specialist tackle(romford-mail order) i think they sell it.ill look for that mag when i get a chance, tho you shouldnt have to many probs finding it.
  12. go for it ed,good points raised, peter was just winding me up....and he got me...
  13. yeah true jim freebies aint always good! the line might have been sittingabout for too long.if its snapping above the hook,id go higher, aslong as it doesnt affect bait presentation or bites it shouldnt matter?like i said ive had no probs tho i do remove the last few yards every other fish.its so good im buying a new rel friday n ima load it with th every same line in 8 and 12lb.
  14. yeah i was gonna say a pre-baiting campaign.might help concentrate them in one area.
  15. sweet,no probs hope i helped, tight lines ans slippery eels!
  16. talking about weed explosions, when on the river the other day,ity was quite clear a few streamer weed beds coming through lillies and cabbages etc went again few days later boom!weed evrywhere!!!and the water had a very od green tint to it that stained the water, water started to run clearer as the day progresssed strange.steve you could always take a look at sticky baits, bloodworm and shrimp?mix they do some good mixes mate take a look round.
  17. lol all well n good i used to think boilies and barbel dont mix,but i came round in the end,i aint a fan of buzzers on the rivers tho or bivvies for that matter, but some do use them and if it works for them and they dont disturb me -leave em to it.inbreeding aint that far out are ya!lol
  18. i've been using the xl trilene sensation low stretch(clear version)in 8lb b.s had carpto14 and some very livley barbel into double figures,no problems at all, very strong and reliable,go upto 5lb mate, try that or use the big game one that line is good.
  19. im not wound up but i am putting my point across,it did sound a biit ignorant ( your posts) wich i wouldnt normally expect from you. yes i did bite.you got me....
  20. maybe they dont but when them barbel are held up for the camera they have soul.i suppose when luncheon meat and corn were first used they had no soul?i dont give a monkeys about the barbell police mate, there a myth in london anyway...i see your points but c'mon adapt, all good anglers adapt. terry lampard a fine specimen hunter use's boilies how many sevens(chub) and doubles(barbel) has he had? no soul!?>>>grow up.
