  1. I am really scratching my head here, a Titan 2000 sells for £622.00 plus postage and this Harrison GTI which in my opinion is a better rod and set up with the two top sections has not had a enquiry. Any suggestions?
  2. This may have been asked, but I cannot find any info. What time are we all arriving.
  3. I have not in 50 years of fishing found anything on the banks, but I have left and lost a lot, so PM me and I will give you my address to send all the best pieces of kit. Richard.
  4. My sincere condolences to you and your family at this sad time.
  5. Welcome and enjoy, I hope that you obtain your kit for coarse fishing as we have some great Rivers in the SE.
  6. Wonderful, I know you will have a great time.
  7. Harrison GTI 13ft float rod. This rod has never seen the river bank yet, it was custom made by one of the best rod makers in Kent, it has two top sections, one with and hollow tip and the second with a spliced tip for lite work with small floats and lite line. The rod is a graphite grey(black) blank with black whipping, fitted with Fuji reel seat and single leg guides. So you get two rods in one. This rod is a one off as the maker would probably never make another as he has retired from making and only undertakes occasional work. Rod comes complete with rod bag. The price including delivery insured will be £185.00. Two Nash hooligun XS 2.75lbs carp rods, used less than half a dozen times, first class condition, includind bags, I am selling as I have two Outlaw rods which suit my purpose. Price £70.00 inc insured delivery. PM me with any questions and i can send you photo's. Thanks for looking. PS. I still have a Hardy Matchmaker 12ft match rod in pristine condition for sale if there are any interested collectors, with original bag. I have owned the rod from new purchased in the early 70,s.
  8. Elton, go for the truth, tell him he is a pillock and sell him your EVO. You know he must want IT.
  9. The size of snap swivels can be a bit of a chance, I have in my TB size 16 that are twice the size of others that are marked as 14, I always look in ever tackle shop I go in to see if they have what I consider to be small, I have a quantity of what are called micro snap swivels that are about 1.5cm in length and I think I got them on e-bay, around £3.00 for 25. I hope this helps.
  10. I have never commented on the SFF before, because I do not sea fish, but this is politics and my view as an outsider is. Why are quota,s not weight related and why do they have to be species oriented, does not this created waste and discards. Yes I realise what the answer is MONEY IE I will fish for the most profitable, but then surely does not the better skipper/fisherman prevail if weight is the target and not, what the hell keep fishing and if I don,t like the catch chuck it overboard until i fill up with money?
  11. AN extremely good question which I am sure a lot of participants are interested in. In previous years the event has been held in February and the required atire has been. However, this year some brilliant mind has decided that March will be fine and therefore the whole weather situation requires a different thought on clothing, so here is my recommendation for the fuller figure. I hope that the whole party of twenty agree.
  12. Your transformation must have been catastrophic to say the least, I can not wait to see the outcome, you geezer you, would you please wear a name tag in the car park I would hate to address you as the OTHER Andrew.
  13. Andrew, if you do not find one you can use mine and I will leger.
  14. Judy,I really like this set of photo,s particularly No:5 and you are very lucky to have those vista,s within walking distance.
  15. Stunning photography, but also a little sad.
  16. Very good thread to read, I use liquidised bread almost all the time for my River fishing for hand feeding when just lightly squeezing, just enough for instant sinking with immediate dispersal, I find that you can also control the feed rate in a cage feeder with the amount of pressure used when packing and it also allows you to pack in the middle other loose feed such as maggot or caster for slow release. I also like budgie add other ingredients such as, powdered milk, ground rice, semolina, soya flour and sweetener or a combination all any of these and of course colouring if required, it makes for such versatility depending on the time of year and conditions, as a tip I have found that that best bread to use is the Tesco value white for both cost and texture once liquidised. I have not used mash for a long time now as I only used it in the past to carpet still waters and do not find myself fishing very many stll waters these days.
  17. Rob, deer are always such a great subject to photograph, I think that the first shot is front focused of the main subject which leave the stag a little soft and I like that. Your conversion looks like a straight colour to B&W swap with your software and you have lost a lot of the impact, try to play with the colour channels and you will be able to get much more tonal range in B&W and have greater visual impact and I like John love the use of B&W.
  18. I hope you all had a great day yesterday and the same wishes for today.
  19. Alan, simply wonderful outcomes to your announcement, I think these are the stories that we all want to hear at this time. My congratulation as well.
  20. Some great photo,s you have posted here guy,s, these were taken at one of my club waters in November a few years ago. #1 #2 #3 I love this place.
