Can you see any pictures? Perhaps the ones you tried to look at have 'broken'.

It's a big drain on resources, especially at startup. It misses a lot of stuff. It gives multiple alerts for the same file, even though it says access to that file has been denied. Doesn't pick up many spyware infections, AVG does. The virus definitions are not updated often enough. They should be updated every day. Norton AV isn't that great at detecting viruses. But anyway, you can do this: Download Grisoft AVG from the net (free). It will have the latest definitions. Put on a CD. Download Sygate firewall (also free). Put on CD. Install from CD onto your computer before connecting to the net. Hey presto, you're protected. I did this recently and I wouldn't recommend it. As soon as you connect to the internet you will be infected with viruses until you install the Windows updates. You would probably be ok if you had anti-virus and more importantly a firewall installed before you connected to the net. So in other words, you need them on CD.

ohhh, i should read the question properly. It could mean that a file is missing. So if you still get the after entering the settings, you might have to download and install Outlook. Or use Eudora...much better :-)

It means Outlook Express is not configured. I'm not sure if hotmail allows you to use it for emailing, but Tiscali should. Have a look on their website for the settings you need. Basically, clicking an email link opens up Outlook, with a new email and the address already inserted in the To field. But if it hasn't got the settings, it can't send.

Well I got the knot sorted, and it works fine, got 5 fish yesterday, including my first brownie, so I'm pretty happy!

I'm pretty sure that's not true, because in the past I've been able to bypass passwords simply by starting in safe mode. I know on XP Home, the Admin account doesn't have a password by default, but I don't know about 2000. You can also boot up from a floppy. I think booting from floppy is the first choice, and if one isn't found, as is the usual case, then it starts up from Hard disk. Or you could just upgrade to XP or 'find' a 2000 CD...

Well if you have Javascript on, it gives you a little popup whenever you mouse over a link or an image.

have you tried started in safe mode? Holding down F8 when starting up, then selecting safe mode. Then accesing the control panel and user accounts. You might be able to delete it from there.

I need to replace the braided loop on my fly line as the previous one was cutting into the line. However, the plastic sleeve is of too small a diameter to fit over both the fly line and the braid. So i'm asking, is the plastic sleeve required of could I just superglue the braid to the line. Incedentally, the previous loop was cutting in because the end of the braid has been glued, making it quite hard and sharp. What can I do the prevent this, but also prevent the braid from fraying? The funny thing is, the loops are from the same manufacturer as the line. You'd think the sleeve would have been tested it could fit onto the line. Anyway, I hope you understand my question in among my ramblings.

my answer was also probably based on my eyesight! those little CDC's are impossible to see at range, especially in ripples. sometime soon i will attempt some buzzers with a big piece of foam that i can see!
