  1. Hi Glenn, In addition to the above useful advice, have you ever considered using a Desktop Publisher? They are very useful for laying out your pages exactly as you want them. Serif do a nice, easy to use one and the give it away for free if you register. Have a look here: Serif
  2. rabbit, I used tolive in South Cerney and I was a couple of minutes walk from Ham Pool. I now live in Worcestershire and I'm a couple of minutes walk from the River Avon. Whereabouts did you live in Cerney?
  3. Nice pictures Andrew, well done mate. Tench get my vote over carp any day.
  4. My old Spectrum favourites: Tir Na Nog Flying Shark Deactivators Tau Ceti The Way of the Exploding Fist ATF Dizzy series Batty Tomahawk All were great fun back then but I think I'll stick with modern games.
  5. Not sure where you got that idea from TubularBelle. I have had three JRTs in my lifetime and 14 is certainly not middle aged for a JRT or for any dog.

    Google Local

Josh, Not all areas have a high definition picture.
  7. Well done Jamie, and think all the best tench fishing is just about to start.
  8. Anderoo, I take it you mean Salford Trout Lakes near Chipping Campden. A little further out there is Santhill Fisheries the website is under construction but I have a leaflet that states they have a 26 acre lake plus a 1000 yard stretch of the river Windrush for brown trout fishing. If you ever go through Burford which is not too far from you they have an Orvis shop in the High Street and they have information, maps and phone numbers there where there is brown trout fishing on local rivers, prices range from reasonable to expensive. I have not been to any of these places myself but I intend to try one or two this Spring, I'll let you know how I get on.
  9. Anderoo, As has been already stated the water knot works well but if you really want the dropper to stand out at 90 degrees from the leader, some people like to use the blood knot, you simply trim one tail of the knot close and leave the other as long as you wish for the dropper, although 12" would be considered too long for most people.
  10. Gillies, I don't know if that is your real name or not but it is one of only five names that existed on St. Kilda. The names of the islanders were: Ferguson Gillies MacDonald MacKinnon MacQueen Here is a picture of the men of St. Kilda and (possibly) your ancestors, notice how many men have no shoes! Just finished the book and enjoyed it very much. Thanks to Davy and Judy for the recommendation.

    Viagra

An old woman goes to see the doctor and says, "I need some Viagra for my husband" Doc says, "Well we have 25% strength for a slight erection, 50% for a good erection and 100% for a very good erection, which would tou like?" She says, "25% please" Doc says, "Are you sure?" She says, "Yes, it's only to stop him p!ssing on his slippers"
  16. People never cease to amaze me, $5000 for a piece of junk. I could understand it (perhaps) if it was a restored classic in beautiful condition but the idea of trying to drive that thing a few hundred miles home with the battery flapping about in the trunk would make me want to double my life insurance.
  17. Got myself a few bargains today for the second year running. You have to be selective. My shed is slowly filling up with Lidl tackle and I recall that someone once said that a thing is only a bargain if you actually need it

N4lly, I think you must have missed the ones on co.uk ebay yesterday, Here is one today: laptop Yet another one day super-bargain, this one is a little digfferent because they think it costs £3.50 for postage and it doesn't INSIST you email their "work" address" they just suggest it....funny how they work at AOL though. This one is also a little strange, to say the least.
