we get a lot of doggies south of bridlington winter they arrive 1 st week in march just before the thornbacks arrive 10-15 a session is common in the right weather conditions (flat.,mild,still night) sandeel/mackrel and squid baits

gotta back the doc up on this one cod,cod everywere had a walk on a local beach few weeks back and there were 2 lads fishing, between them they had 17 cod, including 2x 6lbers most around the 3lb mark as for the bass its getting better every year, and bigger fish every year witnesed 3 x 6lb + bass caught last summer within a week of each other, and i had them to 4.5lb. but one strange thing i noticed cod, turning up in the middle of summer last year me and my fishing partner had cod up to and over 5lb right thru the summer the only month we didnt have cod was sep these fish turned up roughly the same time as a few smoothounds did whilst un hookin the fish they was coughing up small soft back swimmer crabs but another thing we noticed, when the crabs were peelin and the cod and smoothys were been caught the bass vanished??????? will be interesting to see what this summer brings?

they are all down here now winter and they are well insize:)

cod = nits/mops/sprags (biguns) tommys/ken dodds/shawoddys whiting = sh*eting bass = billys/bars thornys = skate/wings/raymondo's/spikey dabs eels = snigs smoothounds = smuts/torpedos

im gonna put my spare bag of spirit level bubbles on ebay later.... keep a eye out for that bargain

during the last set of easterlys the holderness coast has been littlered in tiny jellyfish amongst the weed forever pulling the things of ya rigs and leader knots

when the humber is running at full whack chuck it out a 10 o clock and let a bow out in the line until its angled at about 2 o clock works for me

are they UK sea trout or another countrys sea trout

you sure thats a sea trout??? not sure it is

not many i would have thought winter as thats one of the things they are down there looking at
