  1. well i have won a box of assorted goodies from this site which was rather good. and i got a k-class transformer chair/bedchair from improve your coarse fishing.
  2. if yours is like mine press select, enter code by multiple presses of buttons 1 - 4 then press select.
  3. if your worried a 12 ft may be too big for him why not buy yourself a 12ft and let him try it and see how he gets on? one option for you to consider is instead of buying a float rod or a leger rod why not buy what is called an 'avon' rod, these are far more versatile as they have a 'float' style top and a 'quiver' top. for about £43 you can get one with 3 changeable quivers. couple that to an okuma dynadrag 30 reel at £19.99 and you have got a very versatile setup. this would allow you to fish for anything from small silver fish to double figure carp(with apropriate line) it may not sound over cheap but it will do the job of float rod, leger rod, light carp rod.
  4. yes they do mail order, they have an ad in crafty carper this month, its only a small ad though but it would be worth phoning if what you want isnt in the ad.and as you'll already know small fry unless you've got a long time to browse with whats packed into the shop its best to just ask for what your after. another good point is they will give you a straight honest opinion.
  5. well i think i just got a good deal at avenue angling in norwich. just bought a twin wheel carp barrow (which folds up and down in seconds) a set of chub stainless steel adjustable buzz bars and a 'used once'(and it is as new)solar sod pod,all for £130.
  6. I thought john wilson and tom boulton were in partnership and both owned angling direct.angling direct has also now bought out A A ANGLING at beccles. i tend to buy my stuff as much as possible from avenue angling in norwich.
  7. i know its a bit off topic but if anybody is interested theres a good museum at raf neatishead.it deals with radar detection dating back to before ww2 and is worth a visit if your in the area. RAF NEATISHEAD RADAR MUSEUM i spent my lunchbreaks looking round it while i was on a computer course there all last week.
  8. our athletes have a hard time with sponsership and now they want to spend a mint to host the games  send the games packing let the frogs have it if they held the games here and made a profit i bet they wouldnt give the people they rob £20 from the profit
  9. The old red dog was thrown a bone to stop it's pathetic whining. The master went to wales and came back with a three course meal!!! Your right i don't like man u (or chelsea), a team with there own tv channel, and the hangers on they have all over the world. That kind of money they should win everything. Did you like the Real Madrid game? didnt Real play well!! Now i have had a little wind up, seriously i thought the cup final was on the whole a good game, with just henry being booked and the time wasting at the end spoiling it.
  10. i guess his arm would have been pretty numb and cold from being under the rock. and by using a belt or something to cut off the blood supply first it is possible but not easy. but what could you do if you are really desperate? if he had a mobile he could have phoned a friend!

does anyone else have certain channels they cannot get that they should? i find it hit and miss as to whether i can get itv 1,itv2,h@l+ and a few others. this is very anoying when like now champions league live is on itv2 and it wont work!!! you phone sky and they have a help line for it but i know it is connected right and the dish is as good as it gets so all they want to do is send an engineer at £65! is this a switch off a channel or 2 and charge £65 to give it back con or am i paranoid?
  15. i hav`nt fished there but have heard it can be good. spend some time choosing your spot and use a good bait and you should catch. one thing i have heard though,is that its a bit clique`y and the regulars may not be too forthcoming with advice. 16. never fished it but theres a place at aldeby with a few lakes i remember seeing a write up for which i believe caters in different lakes for silver fish right up to specimen carp.go to the a146 a143 roundabout turn right bout a mile along take the first turn to aldeby and you`ll see the signs.
  17. you should try the most exciting form of pole fishing, carp off the surface, had five off the top in about an hour. i bought one of the axium poles and had been fishing on the bottom all morning and landed two carp.you could see a number patroling the surface so in went a few bits of bread to get em going. then 18 elastic 8lb line to size 10 hook placed neatly in front of a fish so only the bread touched the water and bammm! the first of five from 8 to 11lb. the club secretary was next to me didnt take him long to copy
  18. g reg astra estate, 1.3 engine,sunroof,148000 miles.40mpg on unleaded.mot till 24 feb 04. cheap solid car just not enough room in the back for the kids now.all good tyres around 6mm tread, new cambelt. £250 ono.
  19. have you tried the co-op (cis)they were cheapest for me.don`t know whether they do modifyed cars though.
  20. theres been a lot said about barbed and barbless, but what about the preston pinched barbless? best of both worlds?
  21. i think they are a gimmick. i don`t think they will regester a drop back bite so you really need a normal alarm and swinger setup.
  22. don`t forget christmas,as it gets closer the traffic gets worse every day! ban it!
  23. nice one peter! and i hope chris that you intended to say "exciting" and not "exiting"
