  1. Nice one Gray, two lovely looking fish, maybe I will join you on the river one day soon
  2. Hi Kenny, I went to the water a few weeks ago to watch the English trials, and I have spoken to an awful lot of people (I only live about 45 mins away) and from what I have been told and seen for myself, about the only way to get any no of fish out at the mo is with dynamite and unfortunatly I am not jokeing, I am told that there are a lot of fish going in before the match so we can only hope that it will improve.
  3. What I cant stomach is the holier than thou crap, there is no branch of our sport that is without the need to look carefuly at its self and what its doing wrong and learn from it. If any branch of our sport is not to your taste don't do it, there is nothing to be gained by criticising those that do. I am not a match angler or a specimen angler, I am just an angler that loves this sport but cant stomach the back bitting and bitching
  4. It seems to me that the only people against ID cards, DNA databanks etc are those with something to hide
  5. From Water to net,by John Bailey
  6. Hi Gray and all I spoke to the owner recently about the number of fish with lip deformaties etc, and it seems that thay had a lot of Carp from the Talygarn lakes, I think thay became unfishable due to the amount of silt, and I know that a lot of clubs were offered the water but none felt it viable, well aparently there were an awful lot of carp with mouth problems in these, the coarse lake has not been open all that long, we did talk about putting any carp that I caught with such problems in to the Trout lake where thay would not be fished for, June and Terry the owners do everything in thier power to ensure the well being of the fish in thier lakes, I for one am always stoped on my way out and asked what I have caught and if there were any problems with the fish. Gray I was there again today and did as badly as yesterday (same swim) and the guy on the next peg (Gary's) was catching small carp and rudd all day just like Gary did yesterday
