  1. Hi Mark, You and all the other anglers out there who frequent our various smoothound marks might find the following information very usful. I have drawn up a length to weight ratio sheet with the help of a couple of friends who fish the match circuit. This sheet is how our club and hopefully all the other clubs in the Wessex division will run their matchs with regards to smoothounds. It has been tried and tested by a couple of local clubs and leagues and has proven to be very successful and accurate.I used it on 60 plus smoothounds last year and it is amazing how well it works. If we caught a really big one, we would weigh it on scales that are always ready. Biggest last year was 19lb 2oz. As soon as Elton tells me how to get the sheet onto the forum then i will post it here. All the best, roll on June! Mad Mike As
  2. I've got a industrial fan up in the loft. Yours for £20. Only problem you might nedd to tie the computer down as it might blow away, but at least it would be cool!!! Mad Mike

  4. Youve probably got enough places to look, but I will give you one more, Try www.novatech.o.uk really good value, excellent service and free delivery. Good luck. Mad Mike PS Only new motherboards support DDR RAM, at least support for 266 front side bus speed is needed.

  6. Hi Boilies I agree with Spasor, I would have to recommend the float fishing for mackerel and garfish. It is the business on regular freshwater tackle, 6lb mono and carp hooks. I would like to suggest an option to mackerel as bait though, try a fillet of sandeel as they are cheaper per pack than mackerel. Anyway good luck in the summer, I will be out there chasing the garfish as usual too. Tight Lines Mad Mike
  7. Hi there gang. I belong to a local club and we have a number of guys that use ready made rigs. They tend to be the anglers that want to do better, but are unable or unwilling to make rigs. Most I feel are too lazy to spend a few hours making various rigs. Although, lets be honest who enjoys making a dozen 2 hook clipped down rigs. I enjoy making a new version or experimenting with different ideas, but then too me making rigs is all part of fishing. If you tie your own rig and catch on it, that is a great feeling, well it was for me! Basically, I feel that people should tie their own rigs, save themselves some money, have some quality rig components and take pleasure in catching that first fish on a home made rig. Tight lines and Happy rig making Mad Mike That should get a few comments going!!!!!!!
  8. Sorry lads, but I've got you all beat so far. I had a 1 inch goby, hooked on a size 2 Kamasan, right in the bottom lip. The hook was bigger than the fish! It was weighed and released to give pleasure to another lucky angler. Top catch! Tight Lines
