  1. Rolf Harris went down a storm at Glastonbury as well
  2. Very true but then you didn't actually believe that any of the political parties would put what's best for the country first as opposed to what's best for their own political agendas did you ? Non of them give a toss about your average Joe bloggs or the country as long as they can keep their snouts in the trough. Present a united front ha if may said black was black Corby would say its white and vice a versa they're as bad as each other. Work together for the good of all, no chance if there's political points that can be scored instead.
  3. I think the maximum reach of the fire services aerial platforms in London is 32m (approx 11storeys), when I used to work occasionally on the cradles on the flats doing building investigation work we were told if anything happened above 12 stories you were screwed as the fire service had nothing that could go that high, however that was a fair few years ago so things may have changed. It also should be noted these buildings were built in the 70s to building and fire regulations of those times and any updates to these regs are not necessarily retrospective. Don't know why that posted twice

  5. Even if he was right to use his own words when describing the difference between his picked from thin air figures and the parliamentary brief regarding the number of armed forces "but there we an Odd 20,000 is neither here or there". Oops
  6. Does this help http://researchbriefings.files.parliament.uk/documents/SN00634/SN00634.pdf To save time however (and the fact its only a parliamentary briefing paper and not the daily mirror so Cod won't believe it, plus no doubt he has a very close friend who works for the police and so knows far more). Total number of police officers in the UK in 2003 - 155,000, as of march 2016 - 151,000.
  7. Ah right so a "friend who works for the MOD" is going to know a more exact personnel figure total than a house of commons briefing paper put together in march this year, really, couldn't you even pull some figures from the Mail or sun like you normally link to to support your bull.
  8. Hey I'm an ex union rep (the emphasis on ex, i was unpaid and never actually worked for the unions but was a rep for them when i worked for one of the largest city councils) and unlike cod I know exactly what a bunch of cnuts they are. Infact the only time i have been made redundant was from a labour run council under a labour central government, so much for the labour party looking after peoples jobs.
  9. Actually the reduction in armed forces personnel since 2010 is appox 41,000 not 60,000 + , at least get your figures right see http://researchbriefings.files.parliament.uk/documents/CBP-7930/CBP-7930.pdfActually this whole document makes interesting reading where surplus and deficit numbers of personnel are concerned during various governments (both tory and labour) years in power, showing neither party has treated the services well.
  10. And what's wrong with hating terrorists, we should hate, despise and revile them no matter what colour religion or creed these people are, only a fool would love his enemy, only an idiot would turn the other cheek to this sort of scum, they are like a cancer you don't love a cancer you cut it out to the core and destroy any last remanent of it.
  11. LuxuryI had to get up in the morning at ten o'clock at night, half an hour before I went to bed, eat a lump of cold poison, work twenty-nine hours a day down mill, and pay mill owner for permission to come to work, and when we got home, our Dad would kill us, and dance about on our graves singing "Hallelujah."
  12. And then there's the poll that says this http://uk.mobile.reuters.com/article/idUKKBN1841J9
  13. No prosecutions oh dear BC http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-39865801
  14. We already are all paying (at least those of us who pay taxes are) it may be free at point of use but it certainly isn't free overall.
  15. Nothing new you've always been able to jump the queue by going private
  16. Both sides of the argument use fb and other social media what you tend to see more of tends to relate to what your friends and you yourself have liked and posted / shared. At the moment I'm seeing a lot of pro corbyn/labour shiite not because its something I like but because two friends of mine (one a nurse the other a teacher) keep liking and sharing it.
  17. most gutter press tabloids and by that I mean the like of the sun, mirror, mail, star etc are bog paper only worth wiping your arse on. I don't generally read papers and get the news from various online sources on all sides of the political spectrum.
  18. Well it probably wasn't reported in that bog paper they call the mirror but that's no surprise
  19. Oh dear labour down by 366 seats conservatives up by 541 seats in the locals
  20. Shame it appears she was right though http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1366276/Currie-was-right-on-salmonella.html
  21. Lord Tebbit then he'll get them on their bike
  22. Boris it is then, with a little help from Nigel.
  23. That's equality for you women now have the equal right to have to work as long as men
  24. Having done a bit more mooching, the barrett in the photo appears to be m107cq version which has a 20" barrel rather than a 29" one and is indeed about 5lbs lighter than the standard model. It is designed to be used where the space may be limited making the full size rifle unwieldy such as from helicopters and vehicles. The friends of the NRA NRA gun of the year for 2017 is the Daniel Defence V7 apparently https://www.danieldefense.com/friends-of-nra-gun-of-the-year
  25. It is a long distance sniping weapon and is also an anti material rifle (it's used against relatively soft skinned non human targets, planes on the ground etc)The 50s use for sniping at long range was pioneered by Gunnery Sergeant Carlos Hathcock in 1967 when he set the record for the longest confirmed kill shot of 2500 yards( The current record is 2707 yards by Corporal of the Horse Craig Harrison using an accuracy arms L115A3 chambered for .338 lapua magnum, a truly remarkable shot when you consider that it is nearly 1000 yards further than the recommended maximum accurate range for that round). You do get a few semi automatic sniping rifles of which the barrett is one and the h&k psg1 is another.
