dont like the stuff you have to be very careful not getting a kink in it ,worse and it gets a kink and snaps the fish has a mouth full of hooks or a plug ,prefer the multi stand myself for mine and the fishes peace of mind

The best use for elasticum is to cut cheese. Its a horrible useless wire for trace making. As chesters said it kinks and no matter how careful you are it will.

 

I used it for the best part of thirty years without a problem! Wouldn't go back to it now though.

you obviously are a clumsy angler if you put a kink in it, i have used it for over 40 years making minnow mounts for Herbert Hattons of Hereford and The Gun and Tackle shop in Gloucester.

Having won both of the Pike Cups for 3 years on the trot while being a member of the Hereford and District Angling Club, also i have fished for Great Britain in sea angling, and i won the News of the World fly rod for one of the all time best catches of brown trout, so i think i know a thing or 2 when it comes to fishing. I have fished with Mr. Bernard Venables of the Mr Crabbtree fame.

I have also loaded Prince Charles`s fly reel with backing and fly line.
