i really love carp fishing but am not as experienced as my hubby ive not been doing it for as long and i find that when im fishing and i hook a fish and start playing it i get really embarrised and frustrated when other anglers come over to watch i tend to make mistakes and i dont like it i think its probably because i know im being watched and im not very confident

but i just wish that they would give me space i dont say anything to them as i know i will only swear at them but its not like im on my own i always go with my hubby so its not the case there coming to see if i need help has anyone got any ideas to help me over come this???

i dont like being watched while landing a fish either, but the secret is just to forget the other people are there, easy for me to say but you know you can land the fish, so just land it and forget about your spectators. they're only watching you because they're not catching anything, so you're doing something right!

don't be polite ,i get people asking me stuff when fishing and im ok for a while then tell em look im here to fish quietly so please go away.this can be shortened if required.

also they should not be away from their rods point that out to them they may get the message.

how do they know you have a fish on :confused: is there lots of "whooey i`ve got one , it feels huge , look at it go ,WOW what a fight " shrieks ,squeals ,bagpipe playing or a full orchestra :confused: just keep quiet and they shouldnt know ,if i was there i would check the swims of the onlookers for tackle in the water and they would suffer the wrath of the bailiff

hmmm chester plz can i point out to you that somtimes you cant help being spotted by other anglers when hooking into a fish here are the reasons!!

:your alarm sreaming off!!! ( might b slightly difficult to hide that)

:the fish splashing in the water

:your rod tip bending

:you standing there pulling back on your rod playing the fish

: someone sitting next to you in the next swim

 

and many more so how do i avoid that then?

and somehow i dont think i stand there jumping and screaming i just get on with it!! that might be what you do when hooking a fish but that is certainly not my way

chester may i just add that i think that your point you made comes accross as very sexually discriminating as im sure you wouldnt put that to a male but a woman is expected to be a ooooohhhh shout holar scream i have hooked a fish and why is that then???

just because i am a female doesnt mean i squeal and shout belive it or not im the same as all the rest of you i admit i do excited but not in that way but then who doesnt?

i think that it is only fair to say that if you cant make a point without being discriminent dont make one atal as it is not nessacary! :confused:
