I know its an old thread but thought it better to post here rather than open another on the subject.

 

With reguard the Wharfe has any one fished it in recent years for Barbel? If so how does if Fair? also any info on where what and why's?

Hi Kevin, welcome to AN.

 

I had a visit to Boston Spa last year, (not fishing), I wanted to find out who had the fishing rights. Nobody I asked seemed to know!

I have looked at the site before....I have narrowed it down and what I think is my best option is to joing the Bingley club who has to stretches on there... Maybe the thing is to "Get it bought" and suck it and see.... If I do I'll let you know jhow it goes anyhow

No kevin sorry I dont. I mainly fish sheephills for my barbel and for my flyfishing & general trotting work, the tees, the Ure & the Upper Swale.

Bingley club are very helpfull expecialy Chris

 

Bingley club have a decent stretch

Also the Boston spa angling club has a good stretch too however getting hold of the club is a right chore

 

everything points you to a Mr Waddington.... however they ahve nothing to do with it now...I have got a contact for the Chaiman a Dennis Fish....still trying to get hold of him
