5 year old BANGER! A car is a banger after just 5 years?

You must be buying the wrong make of car!

I have a 1989 Nissan Laurel, showroom condition, 162,000 on the clock, never had a problem, starts insantly any weather, just ticks over at 70mph. Big straight 6 engine, does 30 mpg. Still pulls my caravan. Everything still works like new. Air con, tilt and slide sunroof, headlight wash/wipe, all four electric windows, auto with o/d. Adjustable steering column, reclining rear seats. Like new inside, and THE most comfortable car ever. Whistles past broken down BMW,s, Mercs, Audi's. Land Rovers, all languishing on the hard shoulder. My family prefer it to my Toyota Avensis on a long run. I will not part with it until it dies.

The best part is, It's worth about £500, but looks like it's worth much more. Back in 89, it was an expensive motor, at £16,000, a lot then, but it is a sheer quality vehicle.

Never been inside a garage for a service, I don't trust them to do it properly, so I do everything myself. Possibly why it's never had a problem!
