I counted 3 first time, after several more goes I found a fourth. Then I read it another 10 times and assumed you were lieing as I still only had 4. Then I shouted my partner who is at times thick. Guess what. She found all six first go. Now she thinks she is a genius. Thanks a lot pal

She is a left hander. Left handers are scientifically proven to have enhanced perception with some tasks. Could this be one of them???

She's still dense though.

As a left hander she will have a dominant right brain hemisphere. The language centre is by and large situated in the left hemisphere. Is the part of the brain required for processing this task situated in the right or left hemisphere.?

yoxer:

Once learned it is impossible to think outside the syntax of language and there could be infinite ways of thinking.

How different is the syntax of Chinese, (or any other picturegraph/ideograph language) from languages that use an alphabet ?

Rudds post suggests we learn to recognise words in much the same way that the Chinese remember their ideograms, so there may not be much difference

Any one out there who is bilingual in an picturegraph language and English?

It makes no difference what the language is , you think within the syntax of language . It is an absolute, impossible to think outside of it once it has been learned. Even presuming for one second that you could ,and it is a process that would involve more than one reality, you would never be aware of it as it would be impossible to translate into the language of whichever reality you found your self in. Of course that dosnt mean if there was no language you wouldnt be able to think, although there appears to be many among us that that shouldnt neccessarily be applied to.
