Man's Best Friend

Here's the best mate you could ever have on a long walk - my dog Scout. I must be feeling sentimental or something, just wanted to share the moment. Any other four legged friends out there?

I had two good mates up till last December, now only one, but I am getting to love him more and more. Comes fishing most mornings with me, gets picked up by the wife about 1or2pm.

Never wants to go home (until he gets there :D )

Barney.jpg

He was 11 today and had a special walk down by the R Stour, we threw sticks and he jumped in the river and retrieved them (as dogs do )

He had a whole tin of Tuna mixed in with his dog food, so a smelly night is expected!!!

When he saw the new barrow he immediately thought we were going fishing, hence the "I am a nice friendly dog, can I come with you" behaviour.

Whoops, his name is Barnaby, or Barn, or Barney Bobs.

Sometimes he is called "for chr###s sake why did you have to roll in that"

Funny how a dog can change, he was obviously jealous of my other older dog (William, bless him) but since Will died, Barney has become a real softie and started to emulate some of Wills little habits....like a little kiss on the nose when I wake up.

Here's mine, you might spot a bit of a similarity between the dogs owned by Skippy, Emz and myself....
