duPont has a glue so good you can't remove the cap from the tube. Should work every time if you could just get it open.

On the subject.

The glue offered for the job, hot melt, is best (IMO). With superglue there is some degradation of the rod end if the rod is graphite or compsition.

In the US it is easiest to just take the rod or top section into a tackle shop and have the attendant replace it for you. Very reasonable cost.

actually what i posted was almost true, when i met kerry she had a thing called "bells pausey" wich, along with other thing meant she couldnt close one of her eyes, now, at the time punk and new wave where just blending, and as a result of her unfortunate predicament, kerry was wearing an eye patch, along with this she had bright blue hair, i saw her and imidiatly thought mmmmm nice outragous punk rocker, it wasnt till a week later that she informed me that the patch wasnt part of her outfit, still, weve been together 18 years this may, so viva la ceramic eye liner.
