it was a brilliant film i liked the scene where they are outside the headmasters and waiting for a caning ,and the por boy with a message ended up on the receiving end.

we had a jackdaw called snowy ,and kes was sentimental tripe.

the best british film actually was good-bye mr chips ,caning was also obligtory.

gritty norvern fillem,you be telling me whistle down the wind was a classic next :rolleyes:

remember their actors all of them southerners fresh from rada with norvern accents learnt from books ,gritty ? more grit in snow fresh on snake pass

:D just remember peter sellers wasent really a union F.O.C. :D nor a french detective ,actors just actors following a director ,not much northern grit at all ,just a impression in someones mind of how things were in a ficticious setting in a ficticious scenario .

I think you will find the Kes film was mostly made up with Barnsley folk.

Talking of Tripe i see its still for sale in some places,yukkkkkkkkkk.

Tried it once with vinegar and pepper on and it was dreadfull.
