No wonder they have to change the name of things like that (Spotted Dick), look at yourselves, some one says a naughty word or innuendo and off you all go joining in! do they serve faggots? Richard Craniums, Puff pastry, Coq Au Vin must go down a treat' 'going for a richard''

Oh dear, aren't you supposed to stop running around giggling when someone shouts, 'bums and willies (etc) when you leave primary school and go up to big school? In the days when men grew up they could be trusted to read Sopotted Dick on a menu without behaving like 7 year olds. ;):)

Emma, is it me, or did you miss the point?

Had they not been so pathetically 'right on', nobody would have joked about it in the first place.

I think they're self inflicted wounds.

This spotted dick story has been doing the rounds for some years.

I have seen the same story set in supermarkets, schools and canteens.

Every so often it rears it's ugly head (phnaar phnaar)

Let's agree to respect each others views, no matter how wrong yours may be.

This time Alan, it's you . According to the report (and I do caution against believing everything one reads or hears in the media), the name change came after the childish giggling etc.

I agree that there is an awful lot of unwarranted PC'ness around, however some of the seemingly daft rules are enforced due to an apparently increasing reluctance amongst lots of people to grown up and behave like adults.

Emma. I used the 'Acne-ed male' remark to highlight the absurdity of the need to sanitise everything in the name of PC.

It smacks of the revolting era of Ben Elton humour when people had to expand their vocabulary for fear it may offend someone's tender sensibilities.

My own sensibilities were offended when someone / thing decided to inflict a regime of political correctness upon us whereby someone has to find a circumspect route to tell me I'm fat, a fact obvious to all but the blind - or should that be visually challenged? It takes so long, I'm in danger of dying from old age rather than obescity - for God's sake, if people want to state the obvious and tell me I'm fat / deformed etc etc just say it. I got over myself years ago. A pity others seem to be unable to do so.

Ironically I feel my point is the more valid because PC was an ethos imposed upon me without consultation - so I have the right to reject it (it isn't enshrined in law), but mostly because I happen to be more tolerant of people who have their own various challenges to cope with than a lot of people.

just the ticket. :clap3::clap3::clap3:

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..
