Your Angling Trust Needs You!

Anglers' Net

That's one of the things that puzzles, and worries me as well Andy.

They not only say that are there to represent your/my views, but the views of "the whole of angling". That's a massive statement from a self appointed organisation that was formed without any remit from the majority of anglers.

I have trawled a lot of forums and have read the views of anglers from most disciplines. The ones that say AT is representing them in most cases, are from the forums that have a strong freshwater match angler following.

If this (as it seems) is the case, then AT appear to be more 'in tune' with some sections of the angling world than others.

John.

I think you are right John, the AT are out of step with anglers who just want to persue their sport as peacefully as possible. My main bone of contention is the statement on the AT website that the law of navigation to inland waterways is unambiguous and has been settled and agreed in law. They are wrong. This thing is not settled in law. Far from it.

Thanks for posting blueorkney, but you really need to attach a statement. That way we'll know what you're thinking, and perhaps the community will respond. Who know's, maybe people just talking to each other over the net like this might change something?
