Start off by ripping your own CD collection, then your mates, then goe to the library and rip theirs.

You can download almost anything off the net with 10 spare mintes and a search engine but the download police are outthere and might come knocking on your door.

 

I do download audio but only music/comedy that is difficult or impossible to get hold of in the UK.

if you want to break the law

 

use bittorrents.such as

there are many others,just do a google search.

 

use a programme such as bit tornado or bit comet to download the torrents.

 

limewire is ok for single tracks but is riddled with virus`s.

 

but you wouldnt want to use these as its illegal.

i used many but i only have bearshare on my computer now

 

doesnt slow your computer down at all and i havent recieved any virus's from it.

 

i download many songs, music videos, mtv shows, films etc for my mp4 player

 

and its all free

yeah but bearshare lets people look around your system

Never had any problems with Limewire and to rip your cds to mp3s you can use Freerip .

 

Freerip pulls all the information for you off the web so you don't have to enter it yourself.

Not sure Alan but most allow you to only elect the files you want to share.
