Favourite float tip colour for trotting

I have trotted after dark and mostly connected with Chub & Trout & the odd Barbel but its real fun watching your starlight trot downstream then disappear as you never know what you hook into until its in the net or there abouts.

That's interesting, Ive never tried trotting after dark. Have you done enough of it to find out if some baits work better than others (big or smelly)?

I have only trotted on occasion maybe 1 or 2 hours after dark in a swim that I was fishing before it got dark and continued to fish the bait I was fishing in daylight so cant comment on big smelly baits etc as most of my trotting is either hemp, maggot or caster and occasionally worm.

Tigger, give it a bash you never know you may get hooked and want to make more, if we never experimented or tinkered then we wouldnt get anything done.

I think I'll leave the serious float making to people like yourself who seem to enjoy doing it. By the way Goerge if you need any people to test your floats out......give me a shout

Thanks mate but there is only 1 person I trust to test my floats and that is the creator himself, only way to improve things I find is to fish them myself. :sun:
