last fish of the decade

What was your last fish of the decade? Mine was a plump chub that took a liking to my cheese paste

15lb 4oz carp,,,,the one i caught just before that was 24lb 8oz and my new uk pb

A pike caught in the gloom on Boxing Day.

A very small and very fat little perch from a lock cut on a high and freezing Thames - the only bite of the day! I've been chubbing twice since then but have been blanking superbly

 

Hopefully the first fish of the next decade will be a chub later today. I think the big ones can wait for better conditions; I'm going back to my favourite tributary to see if I can tempt one or two of its modest but pristine chub. It's still -1 outside and everywhere's full of brown, freezing water, so it won't be easy!

First fish of 2010 is gonna be a 10lb cod on sunday off dunwich beach, please god let it be ha ha.
