Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

Had a wii for a little while now so not sure on present deals. Try money saving expert forum MSE.

If playing Mario Kart then highly recommend at least 2 controllers if not 4. Would also recommend getting the same number of additional nunchuks if you are looking at games such as Summer Olympics (Would recommend) etc.

Picked up a good deal from Argos last week, a clitch in their online sale gave us PES 2009 with a remote docking station for under a tenner. Actual offer at present has a half price docking station with most games.

Have fun

The Wii has landed :)

Got a pack with Sports & Sports Resorts, as well as Mario Kart.

So, what other games are 'must haves'?

Well, on our shopping list is mario & sonic at the winter olympics. The only other one we have and have played is the lego indiana jones game, and I don't really like it. I fancy the F1 game, but it has mixed reviews. Also fancy the tony Hawks skateboard one with a skaeboard controller, but that too has mixed reviews and is about 100 quid !

The whole 'review' thing is a bit weird. I looked at some of the reviews on Amazon and decided that it's best to ask mates, as you tend to know what they like in the first place.

eBay had Peppa Pig on as 'Offer Of The Day' over the weekend, so I got that for my girls. They have it on the DSi, and the youngest (3-year old) loves all the Peppa stuff.

Mario Kart is a lot trickier with a wheel. I've only had a few goes, but love it. Just got to get the hang of a whole new concept. Not only have I not played games for years, but the whole 'sensor' thing feels strange.

The sports games are fun, favourites so far being sword fighting and frisbee for me.

Oh, and our first attempt at Wii fitness age put me at 29 and the misses at 62 :D

Dale has F1 09 and loves it, he is presently half way through a full season, where he is doing all practice and qualifing seasons before the race.

Have also got "UP" (platform type game) which is quite good, but you need to have seen the film. Mario and Sonic at the summer olympics is also good. You can get easily hooked on beating previous records and unlocking new games.

If you dont mind being a season out there can be quite a few bargains to be had. i.e FIFA 10 comes out and FIFA 09 can be picked up cheap.

The thing to remember is that the wii isn't designed for its graphics, and that the fun is in the interaction with the game.

Totally agree with that. Mind you, Mario Kart is pretty good graphically, too. (that said, I haven't even seen a Playstation 2, let alone anything newer!).

We're not into 'game-fashion', so the misses is looking at some of the games on eBay. I suggested tonight that we should just buy a load of cheapies at random, as we like the simple stuff that others don't seem to want any more.

Oh, btw, she's 72 today on her fitness age thingy! :D

Although it was on dales Xmas list we have avoided Colin Mcraes Dirt II based on all the -ve comments we have read on the wii version with out a single +ve. Has really really bad graphics. When Dirt III is released we will probably still give it a wide birth even if it is cheap.

You need to check Mrs Elton's Will and Insurances before she goes on it again tomorrow !!
