i just use one that cost about £15 from argos.

if the line moves slightly it bleeps what more could you want?i cannot see the point paying out £80+ for something that just does the same?

Gotta disagee here. Some of the cheapies may be suspect but friends and I use Good Fishing alarms. Ultra reliable, made in England and a first rate back up service in the rare instances of them going wrong. In fact they make only alarms. What's more they're very good value for money as the manufacturers sell direct to retailers. Anyone interested can e-mail me for more info.

Totally agree with that Peter

 

Don't like bite alarms & don't agree with their use especially at night cos IMO if you're asleep in your bivvy then you're rods are unattended & thats against the law.
